Stack Overflow starts charging for copying code.

As a relatively new coder, do people often just straight copy/paste? Like obviously the answer is yes, but that seems weird to me. It usually just sparks an idea in me.

I mean it's rare to need ZERO changes, but if it's more than a couple of lines it's easier to copy paste it in and then tweak it than to type all of it in by hand.

While yes you missed the joke at first :p  getting the idea and writing the code yourself is the preferable way people should use Stack Overflow once they get past being a rank novice, IMO. And even rank novices should sparingly out-right copy and paste.

I'm often troubled by how many "professional" coders attest to frequently just straight ripping code.
