General Gaming What's everyone's thoughts on Bioshock Infinite?
skillzdadirecta replied to best3444's topic in The Spawn Point
I played and finished the first one but never touched the other two... both are in my Playstaytion Library though. Maybe the closer we get to that "new Bioshock" game I'll play them. -

I guarantee this is the approach they are going to take... the fact that they have Texas and California banding together to secede makes me think they're glossing over the politics. -
I believe that's just to the main city... I could be wrong though. I don't think it alows you to fast travel to other locations. They couldnhave changed that in Dark Arisne though. Here's the game's director's thoughts on fast travel Dragon's Dogma 2 Devs Say Fast Travel Use Is A Sign Of Boring Worlds KOTAKU.COM Game director Hideaki Itsuno has some choice words for games that rely too heavily on fast travel

Interesting... I've found the opposite to be true personally. People that join on me usually want to go around the map completing as many objectives as they can and collecting the most samples they can find. I just did a couple of missions today and that was they case... we roamed the map completing as many secondary objectives and finding as many secrets as we could find. Maybe it was because I was in my own game and people joined on me? I don't know. It wasn't just High level players... in most of the matches I play, I'm the highest level player (level 21) or there's one guy my level or higher. I'd suggest starting a mission on your own so you players can see what mission you're running... folks who want to XP farm won't join if it isn't a simple defend mission or destroy X many bots mission. Also I'd recommend not trying to tackle Hard missions unless you have a full squad. I'm level 21 and have yet to solo a challenging mission solo.

You can definitely target different parts of the body. The damage system they use is location specific... it'a like this in all their games. Like if you target the arm, the arm will break and the zombie won't be able to use it, or you can slice it right off. Weapons even have a limb damage stat Dead Island 2: All Melee Weapon Stats Explained GAMERANT.COM Get all the details about the hard-hitting melee weapons that will save the day in Dead Island 2. The game doesn't really hold your hand but there's actually a LOT of game here. Hopefully it clicks for you eventually but if it doesn't you should probably move on.

I'd be more interested if this was thrid person. Once again, Devs are hiding a cool character with great design and customization potential behind first person.

I played a lot of this but never finished it. Was right at the end though... this will give me an excuse to go back and finish the main game.

I've done that mission without mics. The person at the terminal can press a button that tells which direction you have to point the dish in. There's also an audio cue for the person turning the dish that sounds when the dish is in the right direction. They have to design these missions to be able to done solo as well. I'm not saying playing without a mic is ideal, byt it CAN be done. I don't necessarily like chatting with people I don't know or sometimes I'm playing while on the phone, so if I'm playing with randoms, I'll hav voice chat disabled. They did a REALLY good job with in game chat options so if one, or a couple of people don't have mics, they can still communicate with the team. As @JPDunks4 said, this will probably not work at higher diffculties, but on medium it's doable.
