I’m through episode 7. Two of the better back to back episodes in the series for me. The Amesterdam episode was just so fantastic all around. I get the keeley stuff, I have zero interest in that. I think she suffers away from Roy and Jamie. But Nate I don’t mind. I don’t hate this little mini redemption arc. I don’t think it’s weird the hostess likes him. She’s literally the only character that’s seen every side of Nate. I think she saw through him when he was being a douche bag because that’s what he thought confidence was. It’s certainly not the most finely crafted arc in tv history but I’m enjoying the message they’re getting across through him. 

So I did the the opening(VERY COOL) and made it to the first shrine. I knew it was coming but the it STILL gave me goosebumps at the “world reveal” in the beginning. Did the first shrine and jesus the combine ability works so smoothly. What a tiny little intro puzzle even and that was insanely fun and satisfying. I’m an hour in and already blown away. 

Lets go! So proud of myself for getting 7/8 last week haha

Game just passed the billion dollar mark. One of the more unsuccessful boycotts I’d say.

Thanks for the reminder. This week was my favorite so far. I THINK I’m 9/10 this week. Pretty confident in everything except 7,8,10. 
 

7 and 8 I think I got after much closer inspection of the photos. 10 was a straight up guess based on the brand and what I think happens in that scene 😂

That’s a pretty interesting article. I dunno if I agree that all the other streamers have a clear vision. Other than apple+ who seem to enjoy living in the “this show is fantastic and also fucking weird” space. Netflix and Hulu I feel make shit that’s all over the place. 
 

Honestly I don’t think any of them have successfully pulled off an HBO level show. When HBO gets one right they still feel like truly the elite level of TV. Amazon doesn’t feel a ton different to me other than they don’t seem to ever hit quite as big as the others. I dunno if I call a studio that produces The Boys as “looking for safe hits” either. I dunno 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m ready for the voice cast to take over duties in the games. All of them. I’m not kidding, they’re all better.

P.S. I took my family to see the Mario movie, it was not good! You are strongly slapped across the face with the fact that this movie only exists as a long advertisement for Nintendo and nothing else. A waste of time and money! 

So it’s a kids movie that’s like every single kids movie/show since the 80’s? Their entire purpose is drive merchandise. Lol were you expecting Up or Spirited Away?

Finally binged the season over the last week or so. Loved it. Also got caught up on this thread. Came in expecting some vintage D1P dumpster fire Star Wars takes and the usual suspects delivered in spades! Almost as entertaining as the show itself! Gonna go watch The Last Jedi now and absolutely revel in his moodiness.

Ohh 9/10 I’ll take that for week 1. I think I got a bunch of 1/2 points. Bunch of series correct but I don’t think I got the exact movies right. 

Can’t for the life of me figure out what the loose theme is. But I think I got most of them. 
 

Are the answers to week 1 somewhere?

Don’t all disc games require a download these days?

Yeah not having it was annoying but to be fair the platforming in Fallen Order ended up being way more enjoyable than it had any right to be once you unlocked a couple moves. So it’s least while you were criss crossing the map the execution of it didn’t also suck. 

I’ll echo what everyone else said. It certainly felt like a full season crammed into a movie. I liked the story so would have loved to have gotten it fleshed out more. That being said I think they did a good job. The battle at the end was really good and the ending was utterly fantastic. I think that final image couldn’t be a more perfect thing to leave as the final image.

I think I’m probably 8/10? Maybe 9/10 since one guess was a 50/50. Only one I was t sure at all

I both loved and hated the last 1/4 of EotW. The battle felt like he read some of the more insane parts of the Book of Revelations and thought “YES, this is what will make sense!” Shit is wild. I remember thinking there’s no way they can even think about adapting this for the show, they’re gonna have to change it. The problem is that I think it moves way to fast. It’s the one part they should have slowed down(literally everywhere else in the books should have been sped up haha). At that pace it makes the already absurd and confusing even more so. That being said it’s still probably one of my favorite parts of any of the books.
