So as someone who probably has a decent knowledge of the event, how much does the show embellish? Like, I know that Emily Watson's character isn't based on a real person, but more there to represent the many scientists who were involved with this.

Oh, I thought you'd said earlier you'd read it after you heard about it. I think it's going to be a good one. I'm trying to read up on this event, because I've only ever known the basics. I want to see how accurate the show is.

I started reading Midnight in Chernobyl last night.

He had a vision of the destruction of Kings Landing in and earlier season when he was at a weirwoood tree.

It took a bit for PS4 to get its good games, but it finally did. Sony exclusives are the reason I buy their systems. Otherwise, I'd be content with only having my PC and Nintendo systems.

Radiation sickness is a terrible way to go. This is one of the most gripping miniseries I've ever watched. I've already forgotten about Game of Thrones, lol.

lol, no. White Walkers are gone. Wildlings are no longer enemies(what's left of them). There's really no purpose for the NW anymore.

That's really the only purpose and there are plenty of other ways to punish criminals. But whatevs. the writing has been lazy the past couple seasons, I accepted that. The ending felt rather rushed and anticlimactic, but I'm okay with it. It's about what I expected at this point.

The Night's Watch had no purpose except to be used as an excuse to exile Jon and send him back North. I honestly don't think the writers knew what to do with him.

Yeah, people like us(particularly people like me) aren't their target. We're a rather small minority. It's still a decent deal for only $20.

I'm rather skeptical it'll have the same popularity or impact. That's what I was referring to. I'm sure I'll watch the prequels, but I don't really feel any excitement, not knowing a damn thing about them.

And yet people will buy it and be satisfied. Go figure. Most people don't want to bother with emulation, they just want something convenient to play. 🤷‍♀️

I started reading it a few years ago but didn't quite get into it and set it aside. I think I'll read it for my next novel, because I want to see this show but want to have read the book first.

I'm okay with the ending. Seemed a bit too convenient and happy for this series, but overall I'm good. I'm not gonna bitch too much about fewer characters dying in the end. I still think Dany's turn didn't really feel earned. Could have used more time to develop it. Still no other show quite like this one and I doubt we see another one like it for a long time.

I think it was a little overpriced, but eh. The Castlevania collection is half the price at least. My main gripe with the MM collection is half the games were digital only. But this is par for the course with nearly every collection containing more than a small handful of games. It's nothing new or controversial.

I already said I have no plans to buy it since I own literally every Castlevania game in existence. I don't need it. You don't have to buy it if it doesn't suit you. You're just bitching and moaning about a problem that really isn't a problem. You're complaining that you don't get the entire collection of more than two dozen games across over a dozen systems all at once on one collection. That rarely happens with a series of this size, if ever. A $20 collection consisting of the half a dozen games at the outset of the series is fine for now.

He also has a purple eye in the books. There are quite a few hints that Tyrion may be a Targaryen. I'll be curious if that turns out to be true in the books.
