  1. Del Toro is definitely the most obvious choice. Second choices would be (and I'm swallowing my pride with this first one) Ryan Johnson, Ang Lee, Sam Raimi, or maybe even Sam Mendes.
  2. That would be cool but that ship has sailed, I suspect.
  3. Trevorrow said he wanted the dinosaurs to act like animals. Not sure why a Quetzalcoatlus is tearing apart a big noisy airplane and not staying way the fuck away from it. Conclusion: it's probably going to be just as big and dumb as every other JP sequel. Leave your brain at the door, I guess. Alcohol/weed a plus. It probably will be inconsistent, but you can never judge the final result based on a trailer.
  4. Wow yeah after the last car accident I was in, I didn't hit my head but I thought I might be slightly dizzy, and did feel drowsy. So uh...I went to bed. Terrifying to think how close to death I might have been. What do the doctors do in that situation? Pump you full of drugs to keep you awake? Maybe @CastlevaniaNut18 knows.
  5. I was noticing that too. Rodriguez is an overhyped director, quite honestly. When the episode began, I was lightly entertained but things were going more-or-less along a predictable route. But when the Rancor showed up, I was giddy. That was cool as hell! And yeah, Grogu and Mando once again stole the show (literally). Seeing the chainmail when he landed, and then the way he leapt into Din Djarin's arms... You have to be a cold-blooded killer to not love that moment. At this point I'm not sure where the Mando storyline goes. Grogu was returned to the remaining Jedi, but chose not to stay. That could be considered the end of that storyline, so the only things left are to do with Din's atonement with the Mandalorians, and helping retake their planet. I'm definitely there for that, but I feel like a core hook of that story is over now. I'd be happy to be wrong, though.
  6. I think there were some fundamental missteps in the story thus far. In high school writing class the first thing they teach you is that a protagonist has to have something they want. Well Boba Fett was immediately the Daimyo before the show even began, and it took like a minute. So all he wants the entire show is to...figure out how to actually do it because he apparently has no clue? It's a REALLY weak premise.
  7. There's only one more episode left, though. That doesn't give a lot of time to elaborate on Luke's character and The Mandalorian story in general, considering we have to (presumably) get back to the decidedly less interesting Syndicate storyline and hopefully wrap that up.
  8. I do think there could be more to this than it seems, as some people here suggested. It may not be as cut-and-dry as it seems.
  9. Yes Rebels had some really good moments sprinkled in. I got myself caught up with this series after a four-week hiatus. And wow. It really did turn into another show those last two episodes, huh? Not that I'm complaining, that was a better show and I don't mind more of it.
  10. I really enjoyed the fact that the musical numbers went completely all-in on abstract visual expression far beyond whatever physical setting they took place it. It honestly made the musical numbers the most lively and entertaining since Aladdin or The Lion King.
  11. You can't play Hercules AND Zeus in the same career. That's just....sacrilege!
  12. I don't know that figurative book burning is going to have the same effect in the internet age as it did in the 30s and 40s, but hey they're free to try.
  13. I don't think there's a solution that makes everyone happy. You take the dwarves out of Snow White, it's sort of a different story right? You leave them in, you get a whole other generation of kids with dwarfism being made fun of in school. The best solution is for Disney to stop making these terrible live action remakes.
