The vibe I’m getting from the overall world is it reminds me of the first time you go into the future in Ocarina of Time. In that, you come out of the Temple of Time and see that Hyrule Castle Town is overrun with those masked zombies, and that Hyrule Castle is completely destroyed and replaced by Ganon’s Tower, then you have stuff like Kokiri Forest overrun with plant monsters and Zora’s Domain completely frozen.

Any idea what the last ability is?

Considering there’s an ENTIRE underground still to explore, new mechanics, new a shit ton of stuff I can’t even think of right now (and I still have one unused spot on my ability wheel)… yeah, this is a sequel.

Oh right, I did buy the Hylian Hood when I was there. I should go back and get the rest since I have some money leftover.

Okay, so it’s not just me when it comes to money? I only just bought the Snow Quill vest for my shirt armor finally after selling some gems. I’d been walking around with that Archaic Shirt for the longest time.

So one thing I’m genuinely liking about the shrines in this game as opposed to the previous game, is that they’re basically “you need to try your hand at this” as opposed to the random shrines that were just “uh, here’s some stuff to do”. Then again, I’ve only done 15 so far.

So… I was randomly in a cave in the northwest heading towards the Forgotten Temple (the area in the first game which had like a hundred Guardians in it) to meet up with Impa when I ran into…

Oh shit, I genuinely forgot to go and do that after I fell off once. So… how do I get back to that area now that I’m on the surface again?

Oh, I agree for the record that the town hall was a terrible idea, that said, more Trump out in the open is bad for him. Remember all the covid briefings he made himself the front and center of? The first debate with Biden? They all exposed him as someone who wasn’t fit for the job. Now he has all these investigations he’s dealing with, not to mention he’s STILL whining about the 2020 election. People don’t want to hear him whine about the 2020 election, that turns off his most of his base surprisingly enough.

I’m in agreement that deplatforming works for the reasons listed above. Shit, remember Madison Cawthorne? On the other hand, we’ve been getting a “absence makes the heart grow fonder” vibe with Trump, in that there were people that were genuinely thinking “were things really that bad under Trump?” (spoiler alert: yes they were, there was that whole pandemic thing he fucked up) I think the Dems need Trump as the looming boogeyman to bring out moderate voters against him, and this town hall, his video depositions, and plenty of more to come are going to be YUGE reminders to those voters that Trump is a raving lunatic who shouldn’t be anywhere near the White House, let alone be anything more than an insane guy standing on the corner of 5th Avenue in a trench coat who flashes women as they walk by.

My memory of who was saying what at the time is hazy, but I remember a good portion here thought HZD was going to sweep BOTW under the rug.

I remember the discourse here at the time that Horizon Zero Dawn looked so much better than BOTW and Nintendo was really going to tank Zelda and the Switch by releasing it around the same time. A week after it was like Horizon Zero Who? Shit, I’m seeing the discourse on Twitter NOW over the scores it’s getting.
