I’m still wearing my mask at work (well, right now) I will say that I have seen a few more people wearing a mask in stores lately. I think it’s also because of allergies (mine are driving me crazy) and people don’t know if it’s that or Covid. Just a dry cough and runny nose but enough to make people question your health. I even did a rapid test on Saturday but was negative. Still no appetite and that I do blame still on Covid . . . but the 20lbs I’ve lost because of it is nice (be worrisome too)

I know I own several Dolby Vision discs. No Way Home has Dolby Vision on the 4K disc, and my Oppo 203 plays DV. Sadly no available DV home projectors yet on the market, but my Sony tv is Dolby Vision capable. I personally I haven’t seen too much of a difference between HDR, HDR+ and Dolby Vision. Sometimes the colour has an ever so slight richer look in colour grading but you really got to be looking for it

Take Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as an example. It was the first UHD release from Disney. The disc got the HDR only treatment and still looks amazing, but the digital code gave you the 4K with the DV encoding. I think it’s also their way of enticing people to move from the physical media to their cheaper streaming/digital offerings instead. I stream but I’m still mainly a physical media buyer myself . . . minus ultimate gamepass (that the good digital shit there)

His podcast/talk show that was on SiriusXM was a pretty great listen. That man loved comedy and the stories around them, but you could hear that he might not of had some health issue going on. You could hear it in the voice every now and then. I wasn’t his biggest comedy fan but I did appreciate his work, especially the XM stories with fellow celebs/comics.

Well for some reason the stream gets the exclusive Dolby Vision treatment and the disc loses out with simple HDR(+) So you would be correct

I have my 4K copy just waiting and screaming at me to watch, but I’m still waiting on my receiver to watch this (8 months at the end of April, but should be here by then or a week afterwards) I want my big sound, big screen, for my big movies. It’s been an agonizing 8 months of waiting and my collection just keeps growing.

Yeah I’m still not 100% on streaming myself. I agree Disney+ ain’t bad for their stream and for some reason have mixed their Atmos tracks louder for the stream then on disc. I will also admit that it doesn’t sound just as discrete as the disc Atmos track which has a lower volume setting. Hopefully a 3D streaming service will eventually happen or like what happened with Hotel Transylvania 3, get a release 2 years later from another small time distributor. Still gotta import my The Eternals and Shang-Chi 4K/3D copy from Amazon Japan. (Pissed I missed out on the steelbooks)

Same here and I’m still waiting on watching my 4K Spider-Man copy I purchased today. God willing they aren’t lying anymore and my receiver is here in the next 2-4 weeks. Still pissed off that no market is carrying/selling the movie on 3D disc, because the first 2 were amazing in theatres and at home. Surprisingly I was able to preorder The Batman steelbook from Best Buy Canada just a couple hours ago.

although my area of Ontario is gonna hit low 70’s tomorrow but possible flakes in the morning Easter weekend

I think the longest I went is a couple of months without some sort of pet. Biggest gaps of no pets would be between my first dog and 2nd dog. I remember my dad and uncle taking him away on our big blue sled and never saw him again. After that we would either have a dog or guinea pig in our household. When we lost my first golden retriever, we had no one, but thankfully got our 2nd golden about a month and half later. My family really can’t be without a pet, especially a dog.

My Jays are up 6-1 after 3 innings and we have already hit 4 Dingers. They’ve batted in 19 innings and we have a run(+1) for each and every one of them. This reminds me of the Jays teams of 92-93 when we won it all. I don’t wanna jinx myself but I haven’t felt this excited/hopeful for baseball in Toronto in a very long time. spoke too soon Tied now at 6-6
