I believe we had the first loss of a gambling license in the state in Lovelock with a gas station owner refusing to close down his slot machines.

I have seen this in a few head-scratching places. In Fallon the local comic book shop is not only staying open and doing curb side deliveries, but allowing groups in to play Magic and other tournament games. And in Reno (even under threat of losing their business licenses) the retro video game stores and comic shops are staying open.

40% of the state's budget still comes from tourism (and a large part of that from gambling). Sure we have made huge strides since 2008 to diversify the state's economy, but to say that it won't hurt is a healthy bit of BS.

Nevada schools are now closed to at least April 3rd. The big hang up was that online schooling to make up for lost days was ruled against the state's constitution a couple of years back. Basically one of the schools in the Tahoe region tried to use online classes for days school was cancelled from snow and somebody sued over it.

It is because they are still looking to the CDC and State for guidance. Mineral County just released a statement that made it sound like it was all their idea to end all sports for the district. Somebody quickly posted a memo by the NIAA that was done earlier in the day that said sponsored events were cancelled effective Monday. The superintendent here is a piece of work.

Our local hospital just put out a statement saying they are unable to test. Anyone coming in with symptoms will be given a mask and staff will direct them to home quarantine...

My wife's school district here in Nevada currently has a couple of staff on doctor-directed quarantine. They are saying no positive tests, but one has to wonder if they have been tested at all. Being a rural area and whatnot, and considering that my local hospital is requiring anyone with flu-like symptoms to phone in and be checked out in a external building about a 1/4 mile from the hospital (not bad until you realize the town is only 1 sq. mile in size. Also NAS Fallon has 8 sailors in quarantine as of this morning.

So now that March Madness is cancelled that means casinos here are going to have some issues.

Man I cant even imagine what county they did that poll in. Even in our small county it seems that early voting leans heavy on Bernie with Buttigieg and Klobuchar after. But that was only with 68 people early voting here. Also there were people that filled out undecided on all 3 choices thinking they are allowed to vote this upcoming weekend after early voting.

Yeah manuals seem to be hit or miss. Like I have seen case that look pristine with manuals that look like they are dog chew toys.

Those are two of the first games I tracked down when I starting putting back together my Genesis collection. So much fun to be had with both of them.
