  1. Offical Day 1 Patch Note https://www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/aspzjb/day_one_patch_notes/?ref=share&ref_source=embed&utm_content=body&utm_medium=post_embed&utm_name=41161d1b7a8a4753a43ad36395c45ecf&utm_source=embedly&utm_term=aspzjb
  2. Whatever, I have 35+ hours into the game and loved it. Bioware and EA are invested in this regardless, and I think I maybe playing this for years to come. People were dumping on the game before it ever released because of the Early Access stuff, which EA has been doing the past 3/4 years with EA Access. For whatever reason that graphic just caused a firestorm. People upset Pre-Orders dont give you Early Access. Then there was a leak of the Micro-transactions and tons of hate on that. The Micro-Transactions that are cosmetics only that are supposed to help get us all the free future content for free. If this was from any other Publisher, I have a feeling things would be very different. I even saw some streamer saying he and his friends want this game to fail cause this game is the reason Mass Effect is dead. Its just too bad.
  3. It def seens they are willing to get in front of the issues and address concerns pretty openly. Which is why I do have a lot of hope that this game will be something special long term.
  4. I could see how it would do that. Every time you go back to the Fort, your party fractures and goes to Single player. It does that because each player will have their own individual conversations with NPCs. Imagine playing Mass Effect in multiplayer with everyone advancing their story lines individually in the Citadel then partying up again to go on another mission. It's just hard to coordinate and get everyone to be on the same timeline. It's why i kinda decided to play solo for the story stuff and will squad up for the end game/ grinding Strongholds missions on harder difficulties, ect. That way I could play through on at my own pace and take my time.
  5. The controls, movement, and just gorgeous visuals really do it for me. Being able to fly around and so easily and painlessly land on tiny platforms mid flight just feels so good. They really really nailed the controls and movement, and that makes flying around and just exploring such a fun experience. Then some of the visuals just constantly blow me away. And as I said, just exploring, I got some like 20 minute World Events that felt more like story missions with how they were presented and the 4 steps I had to do and areas I had to explore to complete them. It's worthwhile to do Freeplay.
  6. I agree, I think in Freeplay they should have Striders scattered about where you can go to change gear loadouts rather than having to go back to the Fort.
  7. I dont find the Load times all that bad. I personally have been playing solo a lot so the tethering hasn't been an issue, but that 100% is a real issue. I have an external SSD connected to my X1X and it seems to load fairly quickly. Going back to the Fort is quick. Its no longer than Destiny's loading, where you constantly watched your Ship flying to go back to the tower, then again to go to a mission. I also have my PC right next to me so I just look over at the boards or Twitter when its loading, so maybe I don't notice. I'm like 30 hours into the game in like 3/4 days? I just love the world and being in it and exploring it, like Xbob said. Its a worthy world to explore and you can find some legit good items and stuff from chests, which I don think was the case in Division or Destiny. I know Public Events could get you good loot but just exploring and finding random chests hidden away I dont think gave anything but materials. I'm about Lvl 22 now and must be getting close to the end of the story. The missions are repetitive in nature, but I love the gameplay enough it doesn't quite feel like it. I wanna wrap up the story though as I'm interested to see where it goes.
  8. They tweeted that out. You need to finish a mission in the game to unlock the armor.. Prespero Mission. Its only Live for Origin Premier members right now. https://help.ea.com/en/help/anthem/anthem/anthem-edition-rewards/?utm_campaign=anth_hd_ww_ic_soco_twt_early-access-lod-021519&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&cid=56712&ts=1550608088974
  9. Skipping around the Arstechnica review.... All the classes play pretty much identical. I dont understand the combo systems.. Only the storm class you can really fly around the battlefield while the other Javelins play rather similar. Yeah stopped reading there. I get that some of the combat is repetitive, but what Looter Shooters combat isn't repeitive? The entire nature of these games is you redo the same content and combat scenarios with better equipment to be able to do them better, and prepare yourself for harder encounters. If I was playing on Normal with a Storm Javelin just raining down powers on things mindlessly I could see it being boring. but playing with the Interceptor soloing Hard Difficulty on these late game missions is hard and a blast. Have to constantly be moving and dodging. Executing my powers and timing perfectly to avoid being 1 shotted. Its pretty clear Reviews are gonna rip this game apart ,which is too bad. Another review bringing up the Town and conversations breaking up the action. It does do that, but its what Bioware does. I quit the 1st Mass Effect when I got to the Citadel and got bored with walking around talking to people. When I gave it a second chance, I realized just how good Bioware is at developing characters and story, and I fell in love wth the game because of that.
  10. Perfectly put. A lot of the fun is to be there at the start, and see how the game changes over time. Then thinking back to how you didn't have this and that back when you first played.
  11. I guess chests in the open world were giving out higher level loot, so PC players were just going around opening chests non stop to get Masterworks? They already patched it out. Also said the Tomb Quest will start counting at Level 3, so by the time you get to the Tombs even more of the challenges would be complete.
  12. Thats what I'm at a loss for. It has its issues for sure, hopefully some that can be tweaked and fixed, but reading some of what is out there, its coming off like this game is straight garbage not worth playing at all. What they have given us for $60 is a pretty huge game and world to explore with the promise of FREE updates to both story and and ever evolving world. No paid DLC. I am vested into the story and the world, I want to explore it, unlike most of Destiny. I look forward to the updates and the Cataclysm and all that as the game evolves. I just dont understand it. You can tell the game was made with love from Bioware, they have also been so vocal and responsive and transparent to the fans on Social Media. Already admitting theyve messed up some things and will tweak it. I just hope some of the negative reactions dont scare people away and people give it a fair shake.
  13. I haven't no lifed a game like I am on this in a looong time. I def want to squad up, but I can understand the complaints about running through with friends. If one person wants to talk to the NPCs and take their time customizing and stuff, it could be a lot of down time. I always do all that, so it'd be kind of aggravating to try to coordinate missions. I'll def be ready to squad up once the story stuff is done though.
  14. @Mr.Vic20 you stated you had done all the story and side missions and contracts right? and were Level 20? You sure you did all the Character side missions? I'm still plugging away at all of it and hit Level 20 now. I still seem to have so many side stories and still the main story line to do as well.
  15. Confused by this? Every single MS game is on Game Pass on launch. Forza Horizon 4 which is one of the best racers out here was on Game Pass Day 1. It's not like Crackdown was put on there just cause they think it wont sell?
  16. It is shocking how people try to play this like a cover shooter, then whine about how its not very good. I literally almost never use my guns using my Interceptor. Just skills and melee and zipping all over. I'm still pretty shocked by the hate the games getting. The world is really quite amazing, gameplay is very solid. Mission Structure is repetitive, but what game like this isnt? For a Looter Shooter, the story is pretty far above most others, and I see so many complaining about having to talk to people in town. "Why do I have to waste time talking to people in town about stupid things, I just want to play". Its like they never payed a Bioware game before. All these little conversations will probably lead to something down the line, thats the beauty of their games. I'm still loving it, can't stop playing....
  17. Need to prime them with one element, like electricity then hit them with a blast. If you freeze then melee. Those are the 2 I have had with my own builds solo. I run the Interceptor with Cryo Claive, Freeze enemies then do a drop attack melee and it combos. Agree with most your issues with Free Play. I like the overall activity in Freeplay, as I fly around there seems to be stuff happening quite frequently around me to engage with. But I have to constantly pause to figure out where I'm going kind of. Using the compass more has helped though, but a mini map would be nice.
  18. I am Level 17ish right now with I think 16 or so hours in. I've been doing all side missions and contracts I can take as I move along. I'm still technically on the Tomb's Mission, but have had all the requirements done, just was clearing all side content. I've tried the Stronghold on Hard with randoms, and damn I gave up. My Javelin wasnt really upgraded properly either, but man my teammates were down all the time. It feels harder than it did in the demo. The developers have talked about being very excited for the 22nd, the real Launch Day cause thats when the Day 1 Patch Releases, and when the game actually goes Live in a sense.. That's where Im curious to see if we actually have a real living story being told continuously in game. I love the world and the gameplay, so I really look forward to where they take this in the future.
  19. Yeah u can do $5.00 for a month. I have a few Free Codes from preorders and what not that I used for my 2nd 10 hours.
  20. Have a 2nd account on your Xbox. Have EA Access on 2nd account. Boot the game while logged onto 2nd account with its 10 hours. Once you get to the title screen, the game asks you who you are. Choose your real account. You login on your main account to progress while using your 2nd accounts 10 hours. Magic
  21. Also you can play longer than 10 hours on Xbox if you really want to
  22. Yeah Raids and certain section of Nightfalls I think, "No Respawning" zones would pop up. In the Hard Raid you couldn't even be revived by teammates once you were downed. This is OG Destiny, I didnt put much time into Destiny 2.
  23. Also, everytime I go back to Fort Tarsis, I go to the map and see if anyone has the Conversation Markers of their head, I think that's what opens up more contracts and side mission. Similar to how Mass Effect worked, you need to continually converse with each NPC to keep their story progressing. It can be kind of annoying, especially early on with like 6-8 Convo Markers to hit, but it's kept all the side content moving along.
  24. Yeah thats understandable, cause its typically a locked off area you cant leave. In Anthem they fly like 300 yards ahead and it drags you with them if you dont catch up.
  25. JPDunks4, add me. No clue how the scaling works, but we'll all have to group up.
