  1. Wouldn't it have been great to click the link and instead of an article they just had
  2. 538 is diving into the expected swing states of 2020. I'm planning to update this whenever I see a new part uploaded. Arizona's is interesting because of where the Democratic areas and Republican areas are and why it's become a swing state. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-arizona-became-a-swing-state/ What's driving the shift: Democrats' strongholds in the state aren't in city centers, which is the case for most of the rest of the country. What Maricopa County is: Here's 2008 vs 2016 by county. And here's 2008 vs 2016 by district:

  4. If I heard that during this game's story, it would be glorious. Also, something I noticed around 60% - 70% of the way through. As vague as possible, I'm at a point that deals with something very tall and scary.
  5. Bingo. Though if he wins, I'd love a landslide like that just to piss off the very loud and screechy silent minority/majority.
  6. I don't know if it's truly a straight-up purple state yet (though the polling has been promising), but since it's much tighter currently than the national polling, I figure it's more a, "If Biden wins Texas, he's winning in a lot of other places," swing state. Kind of like North Carolina/Indiana in 2008. I don't yet see a scenario where he wins Texas but wouldn't also win, say, Virginia and Colorado and Michigan.
  7. Maybe if she looked like this: Then I'd wonder where she found the time or what purpose it would serve. But Abby just looks like a muscular woman. They exist. She's not "exaggerated" lol Besides, this has nothing to do with realism; the comparison was already made to not wanting to play as ugly, obese women.
  8. Unemployment rate down to 11.1%, 4.8 million jobs were added These numbers come prior to bars, gyms, etc. closing again in many big states.
  9. They don't like Pence either. They're also targeting Republicans like Joni Ernst, who is in a competitive Senate election this year.
  10. UPDATE: Lawsuit accuses ex-Fox News co-anchor Ed Henry of 'violent' rape; alleges Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Howard Kurtz harassed guest I know Eckhart and graduated with her. Fuck. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-53254656 Also interesting from NPR: He now joins the lovely list of Fox News freaks so far consisting of Roger Ailes, Bill O'Reilly, James Rosen, Francisco Cortes, and Eric Bolling.

  12. Hickenlooper will face Cory Gardner in the Colorado Senate race. Here's an incumbent who lost in Colorado and was beaten by someone insane: Tipton was endorsed by Trump. 8 points doesn't actually seem overwhelming, though that WAS a big Dem year. If 2020 is a big Dem year, this will be one to watch.
  13. I'm just fucking with you on the debate thing. I have the steelbook edition preordered.
  14. Sony has issued an update to clarify its stance on backwards compatibility for the PlayStation 5, saying the upcoming console will support an “overwhelming majority” of the 4,000-plus existing PS4 titles. Prior to the update, Sony’s Mark Cerny, the system architect for the PS5 who detailed its full hardware specifications in a live-streamed presentation on Wednesday, said the console would support “almost all” of the top 100 PS4 titles.
