I assume it's nine in an homage to the original novel's nine panel pacing. As far as whether Lindelof will stick around, he's been excessively coy since Prometheus. He said he didn't have much planned for The Leftovers either. Considering the buzz, the #1 thing HBO cares about, is stronger and louder than for any tv show in recent memory I have zero doubt he'll be back.

It's not uncommon for Congress to not vigorously pursue defiance. Often the subpoena allows them to work out other things that can be done to facilitate oversight. In the case of trump's men, though, they are pursuing only those couple that are both likely to finish soon enough to be useful (a decision in twelve months isn't helpful) and most likely to go their way (withdrawing when they get unfavorable judges). It sucks because I want a more aggressive strategy too but this does seem to be more prudent. Also the defiance is plain obstruction, they don't need to force testimony for that.

I do like tuna but for whatever reason don't think to get it as much. Maybe because tuna in a pouch is so much more expensive than the canned stuff and the cans are very inconvenient.

The thing that strikes me this morning is the frustratingly Lindelof-ian move of ending an episode with a cliffhanger and not addressing it at all in the next episode, haven't really seen that since LOST. I need to know how Glass turns out!
