If Congress appropriates funds the president isn't allowed to play around with it. Even though that is actually a crime there's no way it needs to be to warrant removal. Additionally the president only has a small window of things he isn't required to make available for oversight. Using presidential power to obstruct oversight is also very worthy of removal. The president is subject to oversight and doesn't get to just decide that he's not.

And yes Jason voted for the libertarian ticket in 2016. In Jersey although the distinction is the same. Still I agree that every vote counts. Maybe his vote didn't affect Jersey but what if several others would have turned out or voted Clinton if they heard he would? What if still others voted because of those people? Voting for Johnson sent a signal that he didn't think it was all that important and people pick up on that stuff and it affects their attitudes and desires, even subconsciously. Every vote counts.

Oddly enough I've been warming up to Bernie the last week or two. Until he fires his sycophantic mouth frothing staff though it won't make much difference. I don't want to nominate someone for president whose campaign is run by a gaggle of suckerfish; I can't trust that his White House staff would be any different.

In my county it's a mix, kind of. Many existing high schools have developed magnet programs (IB, IT, etc .. Yes there's an Information Tech magnet in my county) and I think the big art magnet wasn't a special new additional high school but a regular new school they stood up as a magnet. You just go there normally if it's in your district but if you make it into the magnet program they'll bus you from all over.

Completely unsurprising and anyone caught shocked by the statement has no excuse. His comments about McCain, how he likes soldiers that weren't captured, were worse than this and of the same order. Nobody should ever expect him to do anything other than deny/dismiss/deflect anything that contradicts him or makes him look bad and he'll throw anyone and everyone under the bus in literally seconds just to preserve his ego.

Well no not duh, if I agree that it's a weird law and I could accept a fair argument that it's unconstitutional -- if a better, more appropriate, constitutional law can easily take its place -- then I don't understand the gnashing of teeth. SCOUTS could overturn Roe all they want if I knew Congress would immediately turn around and legislatively legalize the practice.

Even now the context has evaporated and all original meaning has been lost. "Bernie has made no positive relationships in the Senate so I doubt he can get his agenda enacted," has put the words "Bernie has no friends," in her mouth. Already we have to pretend that's what she said and the documentary isn't even out.

Yeah, she doesn't want him to become the nominee. That doesn't seem unfair. She's calling into question real problems with his leadership. Again, not unfair. She's also calling into question his primary dodge for his plan to get legislation passed: he's never made good relationships in Congress. Hardly unfair. You can characterize these things as "attacks" if you want but Sanders said far worse about her and never got the same pleas to unify and vitriol for saying less than 100% good things. She was asked a question, she responded fairly and truthfully. If Sanders' campaign for president collapses after one former politician calls him to account for his team then he's not good enough to be president. Simple as that.

I mean nobody even thinks it's strange that we attribute statements to her that are actually answers to questions she was prompted with and that everyone gets bent out of shape over something that sounds very different in the full context. Every. Single. Time. Either nobody's caught on or there's a sick pleasure taken in joining hands to condemn someone who's consistently correct. Enough.

You don't need to be a Clinton fan to see the obsession with her as sick. Every new sensational statement from her is out of context and this board doesn't even seem to want to learn that. There's too much camaraderie done in the name of tearing down Hillary Clinton and apparently that's harder to kick than cocaine. This board is absolutely fucking addicted.
