I think it just depends. The West has a way of not wanting to rock the boat until it has no choice. When it reaches that point though the pendulum tends to swing the other way and it tends to be too aggressive. I think we are reaching that point and nuclear weapons would be the tipping point. IMO Biden and co will feel they have no choice but an overwhemling response as a show of force not only to Russia, but to China, Iran, Pakastan and anyone else that has any ideas.
