My school division is a decent size (32 schools, ~12,000 students), and we (IT department) have been trying to mentally (and of course, factually) prepare administration for the possibility of learning from home. We have in-school 100% right now, with mandatory masks, and so far haven't had any in-school spread. We've closed classrooms for two weeks, and even one school for a week, but we've been lucky. But really, if we need to go fully remote again, the teachers/admin have no solid plan. Many of the kids we serve in poorer areas of the city have no home computer, or even home internet.

I believe that Conan achieves his greatest success when he does "Conan in public" bits. He is so clever and quick-witted, he can riff off of anything when he's around people. I will never forgive NBC and Leno for what they did to him. He's such a standup guy, and how he treated his crew was fantastic.

It's a good idea in principle, but there also needs to be money (that can't be abused) for people who can't receive vaccines, for whom the entire point of vaccines is her immunity so that they are no longer at risk. Those people are also more likely to be disabled and need the financial assistance more than able-bodied people. But in general, I do like the idea of an incentive.

There is a board that governs the money, made up of newspaper/media owners, journalist union leaders, and government appointees. It can be done, but the system has to be non-partisan.
