It's such a shame that they were forced to release the game instead of delay—the core of it is much, much better than CS1, and a 1-year delay would have made the launch incredible. Mods should be coming soon, and once that is released I plan to return to it.

Another rumour I'd heard (more farfetched) is that Ukraine is testing long-range drones mounted with anti-air missiles. Russia has proven that can't really intercept many of Ukraine's terrain-guided drones, so the idea is that upon confirmation of Russian strategic bomber takeoffs (warning provided by US), Ukraine can send drones over Russia and then use them to target airborne Russian assets. Most likely not true, but an interesting idea!

Makes me sad seeing Elephants trapped for circus work. It was probably happy to be free, but also very scared and confused. -

...aren't the matches all rigged? It's just theatre. The absolute bigotry aside...this is like saying that a transgender woman isn't allowed to act in a movie about a female baseball team. -
It's not quite as bad as that makes it sound, but the situation certainly is dire. I don't think there are many people that believe Russia is capable of any big breakthroughs along the front, at least for the next few months. They are, however, making small progress in some areas. The bigger issue is that while Ukraine might be able to hold them back for the next year or two (which could potentially exhaust Russia's equipment), they are losing the ability to stop Russian strikes on deep Ukrainian targets (and especially cities near the front, like Kharkiv). Moreso, Ukraine has little hope of regaining the ~20% of the country taken by Russia. The good news is that it appears the US House might finally pass a new aid bill in the next week or two. This new aid should hopefully provide the boost in AA defense and artillery ammo that Ukraine desperately needs. However, the US is still acting incredibly weak and is not allowing Ukraine to use American weapons to strike targets inside Russia itself. How can Ukraine stop missile attacks on Kharkiv if it can't strike the launchers inside Russia?

Wizards of the Coast "now talking to lots of partners" about next Baldur's Gate WWW.EUROGAMER.NET Larian Studios didn't so much smash last year's Baldur's Gate 3 out of the park as launch it straight into orbit, colle… Larian Studios have already said they aren't interested in making the next one as they would prefer to do something else. So...what are the chances WOTC try to rush out a crappy sequel to generate revenue?

So basically, dynamic pricing to begin with is BS. But on top of that, I strongly suspect that Ticketmaster purposefully holds a bunch of tickets back, only releasing a few dozen at a time. This means hundreds or thousands are looking at those few tickets, so they can "dynamically" increase the price. Then they release a few dozen more, repeat, etc. TM execs should be jailed.

I am generally against Israel, in terms of the government and actions of the nation state. I'm not anti-Israeli population, however. I am also generally anti-Iran government, and anti-PLA government, etc. I don't think there's a single good nation state in that region, tbh. Israel gets a few points for being more democratic than its neighbours...but it also basically has imprisoned millions of people. The neighbouring countries have also helped with this. Basically, I think all sides are to blame, and all sides are victims, and it's a cycle that will never end because no one is willing to be the last person to take a punch in any given situation, mainly because of how egotistical humans are.

Wife tested positive for COVID this morning, though my test still shows negative (though I assume I have it). She's had a fever for 3 days and a horrible racking cough, along with headaches and body-aches. Glad she caught it after being 5x vaccinated, and not at the beginning of the pandemic. So I guess take me out of the last-man-standing contest! -

On the flight back from Montreal I would guess that 10% of the passengers were wearing masks (including us), and the other 90% had racking coughs and were spewing boogers without covering their faces. Despite the N95s, we clearly both caught something and are very sick. Looks like we may have finally caught COVID, but hard to say without testing. My wife is basically bed-bound, it sucks. On the bright side, were burning through Fallout and it's great! -
And I think that makes sense for most people...but it's like how most people didn't need to know how to fix cars after they'd been out for a while, but you'd still want mechanics to know stuff. Search has advanced a long way, but it only works if people use proper file names or meta data. Nothing beats the "I can't find the file. No, I don't know where I saved it. No, I don't remember the name or what was in it. But I need it now."
