  1. I read that going 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, etc. is generally a good pattern to follow. True?
  2. Why not just get a chicken sandwich with cheese/bacon, then? Or just completely drop the patty and put bacon/cheese on a bun?
  3. ‘I like burgers but I don’t like the fundamental component of burgers’ is a weird take!
  4. 9/10 a patty that thick isn’t going to stay moist when it is cooked well done, and if you detest the taste of beef so much that you need thin patties cooked well done to nuke the flavor out of it, then perhaps you should just eat something else?
  5. They’ll cook it to whatever temp you ask so if they overcooked it, that’s on you hombre.
  6. Eating burgers but disliking the taste of beef...
  7. Burgatory is very good, and you are very wrong.
  8. This weekend has been heavy with Demon’s Souls and online Mario Kart with my girlfriend.
  9. Are boss souls worth keeping? I haven't found any transmutation opportunities yet (not sure what NPC does 'em)
  10. Also, Chili’s is the best chain restaurant (aside: I don’t think places like Five Guys or Shake Shack count because they lack the kitschy, proletarian nature of a ‘chain restaurant’). Those southwest egg rolls are killer.
  11. I feel like the appeal of chains is that they are a convenient dine-in option- like, ‘Oh we’re out shopping or running errands, let’s get dinner at (wherever)’. Given an array of options I won’t choose to eat at Chili’s, but if it’s right next to the mall? Easy choice on the way home. Ordering takeout, that convenience factor is mitigated since you have to go get the food no matter what, so you might as well pick a better option.
  12. @Joe top five chain restaurants, go. You may identify specific dishes as needed.
  13. Also, doing takeout from a chain restaurant seems weird unless there really aren't any locally-owned places around (though plenty of people work at chain restaurants, so I guess I'm glad they're still working).
  14. Olive Garden is no worse than what you'd make at home with dried pasta and jarred sauce...Like if you are making fresh shit then sure, I can see why it doesn't compete, but it's not like I'm making fresh pasta every time I want some rotini and marinara sauce.
  15. I think I'm at 19. Also, reading the early posts in this thread is hilarious...This looks, sounds, and feels like a Souls game. Y'all are on some shit if you think Bluepoint somehow crossed the brand. My only complaint (and I've never played the original, so maybe it has always been this way) is the backstab hit box, because the angle feels slightly wonky compared to the other games (granted it feels different in all of them, but in DeS it doesn't feel quite as good).
  16. Oh yeah Tower Knight wasn’t intimidating at all, that run is just a bitch.
  17. Made it to the Tower Knight and man, if that ain’t some bullshit. Easily the most ridiculously punishing boss run of any Souls game given that the run is basically the entire area (which wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the entire platoon of enemies waiting at the very end).
  18. If this ends up being a right winger I fully expect takes along the lines of, ‘this is actually a Good protest because they clearly didn’t want to hurt people‘.
  19. Treated myself to this and it fucking OWNS. Previously for Souls games I knew a lot due to streams/referencing wikis, but I’m playing this one basically completely fresh/blind. So satisfying.
  20. People rarely learn from negative stimuli- pulling out of the call isn't likely to change their minds or force atonement.
  21. This has nothing to do with ‘endorsement’, they’re grown adults and can make their own choices. He’s taking his ball and going home because he doesn’t agree with their decision.
