Fuck If I remember. I can't even remember the last game I bought a physical edition for. But I'm old enough to be playing since the NES and the first games I can remember "buying" were games I'd trade in used games for to get some other used games.

I love how I cut cable just to basically have cable with all the different services I use. You gotta be ballin these days to still pay for cable and all your sub services too.

I guess I should check out the first game at some point but if you're just walking around throwing piss and shit bombs I don't get the appeal.

Yes but we also have the head of Sony stating they will focus on multiplatform releases. And this isn't a technology issue where maybe some tech they are banking on doesn't pan out, it's business model updates.

Well they confirmed that 4 titles are going multiplatform and then spent most of the rest of the time basically stating that in 5-10 the industry will be shifted in a place to where there are fewer exclusives. Then we got the Sony boss talking about bringing more games multi platform with people trying to pretend that just means more PC releases. I bet you will be able to pay Elder Scrolls VI on a PS6, and Spider Man 3 on the Series Next. But we're also 5+ years away from that.

So like I’ve been saying, this is a pilot program to test the roi to see if they want to release additional titles multi platform in the future. Because let’s face it, the few million in additional revenue these particular games will generate just isn’t material to MS. They’re going to need more to make the kind of money they are looking to make. It absolutely will not stop at 4.

It doesn’t matter it’s Joever. If these games do well they will do more.

Well that we don't know of course. But this is obvious, if they start with a select few games, and they do "well" whatever their definition of that is, more games will be multiplatform.

You don't go through all of this to just say the rumors are false it's business as usual. I expect at least a handful of titles to be announced as MP, at a minimum it's a pilot to see what the ROI is. Whether or not it's some full on third party announcement and changes to GP might be too much but it definitely appears some games are coming to other platforms. Guess I'm the bad guy for getting years of free games pass through their rewards program, though I do still buy games all digital. Based off what gets announced though it's either back to Sony or just bite the bullet and gaming PC.

Sounds like they are going to do some wishy washy case by case bullshit to see the ROI first which is the worst possible position. Commit to something one way or another.

Started Robocop. I understand this is how he's portrayed in the movies but uh the slow clunky movement isn't working for me. Especially since a good chunk of the game is walking around looking for clues. I will say the combat fees weighty, in that it is satisfying to blow endless waves of dudes with mohawks away. Nothing says you're a bad guy like a mohawk.
