Well that we don't know of course. But this is obvious, if they start with a select few games, and they do "well" whatever their definition of that is, more games will be multiplatform.

You don't go through all of this to just say the rumors are false it's business as usual. I expect at least a handful of titles to be announced as MP, at a minimum it's a pilot to see what the ROI is. Whether or not it's some full on third party announcement and changes to GP might be too much but it definitely appears some games are coming to other platforms. Guess I'm the bad guy for getting years of free games pass through their rewards program, though I do still buy games all digital. Based off what gets announced though it's either back to Sony or just bite the bullet and gaming PC.

Sounds like they are going to do some wishy washy case by case bullshit to see the ROI first which is the worst possible position. Commit to something one way or another.

Started Robocop. I understand this is how he's portrayed in the movies but uh the slow clunky movement isn't working for me. Especially since a good chunk of the game is walking around looking for clues. I will say the combat fees weighty, in that it is satisfying to blow endless waves of dudes with mohawks away. Nothing says you're a bad guy like a mohawk.

kay this does look good. I tried 7R but the modern action oriented combat of the modern FF games just doesn't do it for me. I should give Remake another chance and see if I can get into that and this, because visually they do look incredible.

Those are different though, they weren't developed by first party studios and there was a whole saga behind the Ori games. Something about the developers being dicks and if I remember right the studio head wanted the game pass money but also wanted the games to be multiplatform.

The second they port anything to Nintendo or Playstation that isn't COD or Minecraft, even if it's fucking Redfall only it does massive damage to the brand. Porting over a few select titles also doesn't move the needle, certainly not enough to offset the damage it will do. Hi Fi Rush is a great game and all, but it's not going to go sell 10 million more units on other platforms. Sea of Thieves is 6 years old. If you're going to go multiplatform might as well go big and start bringing everything. Sounds like they are just pussyfooting around and want to do a trial of sorts to see the results, which is the worse possible choice.

Some sort of new steam console part 2 would be great. I’ve been thinking about a gaming PC for awhile and it’s just cost that stops me. Well that and I don’t want to deal with any hassles. Time to start preparing for it. I’ve been thinking PC and Switch 2 is the best plan going forward for a bit. I’ll await official confirmation but it’s just a matter of when and not if for at this point. Maybe I can blow my tax return on a gaming PC.

I’m waiting for that next gen update to give Fallout 4 another run. Will play some Witcher 3 later on today.

Bought a few games on the lunar new year sale, most notably Robocop and Armored Core 6 since this is probably the cheapest these games will be until the end of the year sale. Let’s see if i actually get to them before that. Well I should get to Robocop since it’s supposed to be in the 15-20 hour range. Being a fromsoft nut hugger I have a feeling AC6 will be like Sekiro in which I recognize it’s a great game but can’t get into it because ultimately I’m a scrub. But I try to support them whenever I can. Also got bloodstained ritual of the night, ace combat 7, Alan wake remastered, blue dragon, and resident evil code Veronica since they were all less than $10. Pretty solid odds they’ll just sit in my backlog forever.

Some outlets clearly have a bias or write bad clickbait reviews and it’s definitely okay to not send them early reviews. what I usually do is when @Commissar SFLUFANupdates a game thread with the MC and review snippets i just go through those. Usually you see a pattern of general thoughts so i check that out to see if some that interests me or turns me off. Especially for games that get mixed reviews. Go through the snippets and see what the good reviews highlight and the bad reviews point out and see what lines up with what I like and don’t like.

It's crazy to me that this game is considered woke when the trans character is stated to be trans because the females in their village get forced married off at like 11 and they just didn't want all the rape. And other than that, while there is some diversity in the game both games are really mostly filled with white characters. But hey two (white) female protagonists and one is a lesbian and the other is just, not conventionally attractive and that's all you need to be woke to some people...

Damn thought I saw it was, and Dontnod has had their games on GP before. Well I'm at least interested.
