    Here is my review of REmake4. Might as well get it out of the way before even playing the game so I don't fill the thread with negativity despite enjoying the game well enough.     I only got a 1070 but I'm still getting it on PC. I'll just play in 1080p or interlaced lol. The coloring of the game was still better on PC even after fixing my ps5 and KB+M feels so much better since you can now move and shoot and you don't have the red dot sight right off the bat.

    LOL I thought there were only three videos linked. The Skill UP review kinda brings up what you do but not really. There are actual bad guys, not just monsters, and I think your goal is to like get rid of them and somewhat restore the area. He killed any desire I could have had by basically mentioning this game has a bunch of MMO-style side quests. Even GoWR wasn't immune from that and it sucked. ACG mentioned that all they can show is B-roll, which was obvious from the start, and that was to avoid spoilers assumedly, but that is a huge mistake cuz I want to know what the fuck this game is about. Some of the plot needs to be shown off. We need that back-of-the-book blurb.

    Yeah. I watched both that and the Bookstick one but neither mentioned what you are doing in the game. Like, they mention the combat and some mechanics but there was nothing said about what you are doing.

    OK, but what do you do in this game? Like, it just looks like you are fighting trash mobs and an open world. Like a shitty mmo. But they haven't shown why, or what your goals are. What am I doing in this game and why?

    I was never a fan of Basch. He is easily my least liked of the cast. I do prefer Vaan over him.

    Vaan does take a back seat but the game is mostly through his lens in a way. Still, even if XII didn't really have a main character, it would be better if Balthier was the MC the whole time and from the start. Even Vaan would come across as more likable since you, as Balthier, take Vaan under your wing. Baltheir is just so fuckin' cool. I actually very much dislike when games don't have a main character. It's why I didn't like octopath. Hell, I don't even like reading stories with constant PoV swapping. I don't mind the occasional PoV saw. Like, in XII, there are cutscenes that only involve the buy guys so we know what is going on, and so plot points just don't come out of nowhere. That kind of stuff is totally fine. But, I won't want whole PoV chapters like how ASOIAF works.

    Saw this yesterday and then again today Final Fantasy 16's Story Takes 35 Hours to Complete, 70-80 to Do Everything - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Final Fantasy 16 will take 35 hours to complete if you only play through the story and 70-80 hours if you complete the side content, according to director Hiroshi Takai and producer Naoki Yoshida. Which is fucking great. 66 hours is my sweet spot, but 70-80 for everything is still pretty great. Usually, that is slower than average so my sweet spot will probably be right around when I am finished.

    Also, not saying RE4 isn't an action game. It totally is. That's what makes it good. But it has horror and enough of it that it is 100% an action horror game. Just because you aren't scared, doesn't mean there isn't horror. I mean, Xbob is right in that RE has never been particularly scary, but I feel that way about most horror games with combat. Silent Hill, RE1-4, Dead Space, Eternal Darkness, and shit I don't know what else, but they aren't these nightmare-inducing games. And yet I'd still call them horror or action horror games.

    Hmm, yes, no horror at all. Any amount of cheese and action hero schlock invalidates everything!

    Meme all you want, but if some of these bosses were fought in first person and in VR it would be spooky if you hadn't played RE4 before. I mean, if you have played RE4 a bunch you have played the horror out of it. But like, I just don't believe that you'd be stone cold while fighting shit like Del Lago, the first Garrador, Verdugeo, and U-3. The dogs at the church or even the regenerators might get ya, what if the stupid crickets vomited on your face?
