CitizenVectron Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Ontario inks $13.2B child-care deal with the feds, $10 a day by September 2025 | Globalnews.ca GLOBALNEWS.CA The governments said the deal will lower child-care costs in the province to an average of $10 a day by September 2025. Ontario is the last province to sign on to the national program which will lower childcare/daycare costs to $10/day across the country. This will be a huge boon to parents, and should have a measurable impact on women in the workforce as well as helping low-income families (along with middle). Great news. 1 Quote
foosh Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Damn, that would be great here. Childcare was one of the reasons I left California. I was paying $5000/month for two kids to $3000. I just need to hold for 3 more years and I'm done with child care costs. 1 Quote

b_m_b_m_b_m Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 $315 per week for my daughter now. Was about $1375/month or thereabouts with my oldest before she started kindergarten. Love paying essentially a second mortgage just so my wife can have a job. Quote
Jason Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 This sure sounds like good governance to me. 1 Quote
