Commissar SFLUFAN Posted June 13, 2021 Share Posted June 13, 2021 New version of World War Z with a variety of new content Releases later this year $39.99 USD on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (including Steam) Aftermath will be available to existing WWZ owners as a $19.99 USD upgrade "The fully upgraded PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will be released in early 2022 and provided as a free upgrade for existing owners" New characters to play as New class (Vanguard) New enemy types New first-person mode 4K and 60FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X (IGN's article says "PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X," but I'm assuming that's a mistake since WWZ currently isn't 60FPS on One X, as far as I'm aware) Three new story locations: Rome, Vatican City, and Kamchatka "You'll be able to dual-wield weapons as part of the overhauled melee combat system, such as swinging with both a sickle and a cleaver. There are also new unique moves and perks for melee combat. These can be used against the new zombie enemies, which include swarms of undead rats" The PC, PS5, and Series X|S versions will receive a new Horde XL mode after launch ("This adds hundreds more on-screen zombies") A deluxe edition ($49.99 USD, or $29.99 USD for existing WWZ owners) will include a bonus weapon pack, new weapon skins, and four-day early access to the game) I guess releasing a brand new SKU is one way to get out of your EGS exclusivity World War Z: Aftermath on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM World War Z: Aftermath is the ultimate co-op zombie shooter and the next evolution of the original hit World War Z that has now captivated over 15 million players.
