Commissar SFLUFAN
Hackers Steal Wealth of Data from Game Giant EA WWW.VICE.COM The data includes source code for FIFA 21 and the Frostbite engine. Quote In those forum posts the hackers said they have taken the source code for FIFA 21, as well as code for its matchmaking server. The hackers also said they have obtained source code and tools for the Frostbite engine, which powers a number of EA games including Battlefield. Other stolen information includes proprietary EA frameworks and software development kits (SDKs), bundles of code that can make game development more streamlined. In all, the hackers say they have 780gb of data, and are advertising it for sale in various underground hacking forum posts viewed by Motherboard. You could recompile the code and theoretically create your own game with it or use it to develop exploits for online play.

Dig through it for the fun of it, build it for another platform or make mods to the core game. In the end really not much. The only thing of real value might be if platform SDKs were contained within the data as that is valuable for reversing out the security or how stuff is build for a given platform. Also if canceled games/prototypes are in the data people might find some interest in digging them out.

Spawn_of_Apathy
Maybe the hackers are Bioware fans trying to help them modify the Frostbite engine for the next Dragon Age.
Littleronin
Man you think if you hacked a video game company you would want to get your hands on more than the source code for FIFA 2001 2021 and Battlefield Bad Company Frostbite.

Yes I hope they did gamers a favor by secure erasing the files from their servers.
