  1. @JPDunks4 what build are you running on your Druid? I rolled a druid too and running a storm build. Im only level 19 right now. I can melt mobs and get through most dungeons pretty easily…but the final bosses in the dungeons are destroying me. Ive had to just leave a few of them bc Im getting worked over.

Im finding that resource generation is really lacking in this game. Im 6hrs in and I havent seen a single piece of gear with a resource regen affix on it. Or even life on kill/hit. and there doesnt appear to be much of that in the skill tree either.

my issue with the druid is you need to get in for melee to generate spirit and then blow through it so fast that you have to melee again. getting close to these bosses is not easy. so ive focused on movement speed and adding an extra evade. so I can kite around a bit get a few shots in to generate spirit then do it again. its making for very slow fights.

For what it's worth, I think vanilla WoW actually did this pretty well, seeing your first blue item was several hours in, and prior to that even greens weren't super common.

I think part of it for me is that rarities stopped meaning rare and started referencing just quality. So you do any raid in WoW and you're all kitted out in purples, they're not epic anymore. Even legendary items stopped feeling special. No WoW player is ever even going to contemplate a white or green item unless they're leveling for a couple hours for a new expansion, and they'll be permanently out of dungeon blues in a week.

I'd really like if more games scaled all this shit way back, have dungeons drop whites and greens and have blues be cool finds and purples actually feel like very rare epic finds. But people need their mindless loot fountains to where everything that isn't the highest rarity (outside of super specific items that actually are rare) is basically immediately trash.

Outriders made at least blue drops useful way into endgame. and they had a cool system of being able to level up blues through crafting that made them very viable for a while. their legendary drops were rare but not frustratingly unobtainable. the issue was they weren’t really “legendary”. there were exceptions, but they were mostly just stronger versions of yellows with an extra perk slot.

I agree with you on too much loot. Division felt that way. When you're min/maxing for better roles it gets dull fast.  Diablo 3 launched with the opposite problem in that useful loot was too rare so people mainly geared up via the auction house (which got removed in the expansion).  So it's all about the right mix. The server slam felt just about right whereas the first beta weekends were intentionally overtuned for loot drops to allow people to get to Ashava.

I am an absolute sucker for a good loot game…but I agree with you and @Xbob42. I would rather have less legendary/set loot pieces so that when they do drop, you know you truly had something special. Something so unique that it could literally be build-defining.

D3 made legendary/set pieces so fucking rare that I think it was like 60+ hrs before I saw my first one…and it turned out to be useless. But the rarity of the drops kept me playing. as a side note - I was disappointed when they got rid of the auction house.  it was a game all in and of itself.

The Divison was complete and total loot overkill. On one run you could literally walk away with 10-20+ set/unique pieces. So the entirety of the game was just min/maxing. it sucked and burned me out quick.

Diablo 2 had a really great formula that nailed the loot game bc even blue drops could wind up being insanely powerful. so you always had a chance to get something truly amazing.

I havent really followed D4 that much, didnt try the betas…so Im going in blind. But I really hope it nails the loot game.

Yeah. I’m sure Google is wrong but the guy who gets lost and disoriented in every game he plays is correct.

There are six planets in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.Below, you'll find a full list of all planets in the order you'll encounter them:

    • Coruscant
    • Koboh
    • Jedha
    • Shattered Moon
    • Nova Garon
    • Tanalorr

Okay, not all of them are technically planets, as the Shattered Moon is a... well, moon. But, that never stopped people from adoring Endor for the past few decades, so we've included it in the list above.

    spoilers:

    Spoiler

Nova Garon is a base on a meteor I think. pretty sure you 100% it during the story mission. its pretty short.

Tanalorr is obv a planet but there really isnt much to explore or find (obviously). you just beeline to the temple for the finale

    • Thanks 1
  5. just finished it… and on May the 4th! :nerd:

25hrs on the game clock. I did play all the way through on Jedi Master difficulty. I didnt find this game challenging at all other than a few sections towards the final 1/3 of the game where its waves of enemies. However, some of the boss fight’s definitely game me a good challenge.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the game. The gameplay and story were excellent, but some of the decisions on sidequests and overall lack of planets (and just jumping back and forth between them) left something to be desired.

I did very little sidequests bc as others have said when I went to do 1 or 2 at the beginning, I got deep down and then hit a roadblock that required a certain skill. very annoying. these quests shouldnt unlock until youve acquired the right skill. Also, this game falls into the same issue I have with a lot of sidequests in games. Here you are on an urgent mission to discover a planet, but first…..go check out this traveling band of musicians that are up on a plateau. LOL. I mean, cmon. instead of giving me 20 nonsensical sidequests, give me 5-8 lengthly ones that are significant to the story. In my opinion, skip all the side stuff and go through the main story and you can always go back and do more if you feel like.

as for the story and ending:

    Spoiler

my guess is in the next game, you wind up playing as Kata and Cal falls to the darkside!

Yeah I'm pretty sure that after that thing, there's a flat area with an upgrade and 2 enemies (one legendary) that you can fight. There's an elevator behind you, right? Maybe the timing is different on the PlayStation compared to the PC or something, for me it was pretty generous.

Or maybe there's another spot in the swamp with 3 columns you have to pull up? You're not starting with the one that's highlighted on your screenshot, right? There's another one closer to you.

in the swamp, not in a mission. and yes, elevator behind.

    Spoiler

its right after you save Zee and beat Dagan the 2nd time. the escape pod ejects you to the starting area and you can now lift the platform, zip across and get up to the area with the elevator or these pillars

I literally cannot highlight the closest pillar.  it keeps highlighting the middle one. if I ever so slightly move, sometimes i can trigger the first one. and sometimes as im highlighted on the first and go to trigger, itll do the 2nd. lol.

This is where you jump to fight a couple monsters beyond that echo, right? I... don't get the problem?

no. as far I can tell there are no enemies. and I dont think its an echo, its one of those ones that either gives you xp or health/force upgrade.  you have to lift the pillars and jump on to them. but the timing has to be perfect and with how wonky it is with looking at the correct pillar, it’s infuriating. there is no lock on. getting the closest one to even give you the prompt is like a damn puzzle in itself. and aside from all that, its so easy to accidentally swing the saber instead of triggering the skill.

not that this is a difficulty setting, but im playing on jedi master and this has been the hardest part. lol. I had to give up.

  8. killed the guardian ape in sekiro. i read elsewhere there are multiple endings and im basically ready for one of them. or i can continue on and theres about 25% more game left. at this point im considering just doing the shorter ending. this game was great and I got gud…but I feel like ive seen all there is to offer. theres so many other games i want to dive into. currently playing Jedi: Survior. BOTW2 is coming in 2 weeks. still need to wrap up hogwarts and GOW2.

can anyone who played all the way through sekiro convince im wrong and I should continue on?

I’m at the point that I’ve discovered what I assume this the main antagonist.

I really do think the game would be better if the second planet was less open world. I’ve gone down a bunch of dead ends exploring, that wasted a bunch of time.

The puzzles on the other hand are a lot of fun. Not overly complicated, in that I could figure them out but not completely obvious either.

I feel the same about the 2nd world. it was too much right away and kinda slowed the pacing down. I decided to just stick to the main quest and it def helped.

just got to the 4th world and the pacing has been really good now.
