This was a great adaptation of the game, the series stayed strong through until the end of the season. If we're making comparisons though, if we count Arcane does that mean animation counts in terms of ranking/comparing purposes? Because if so I'd put Castlevania and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners up there (among others). But, if we're limiting ourselves to just TV (and not film adaptations) and just to live-action, ignoring anime and animation in general, The Last of Us is probably the only competition but that and Fallout are doing different things which makes them hard to compare. This is easily better than Halo and Resident Evil. I'm not sure Gangs of London counts though that is based on the The Getaway/Black Monday/Gangs of London trilogy of games by Sony London Studio back in the day, but it is a great show. That just leaves Twisted Metal which, like Fallout, is a post-apocalyptic wasteland black comedy (with a very different tone even with the similarities) and I actually felt that Twisted Metal did a pretty good job adapting its games as well. Fallout is the better show, but Twisted Metal did good and is better than Halo and Resident Evil as well.
you just reminded me ive been meaning to check out Twisted Metal. I feel like that came and went with a whisper.

Well, let's face it - that bar isn't particularly high to begin with
That being said, I'm very much far more engaged with this show than I ever was with The Last of Us series which I felt was overall just "fine" except for the absolutely standout third episode.
agreed. loved The Last of Us, but I overall enjoyed Fallout a lot more. At times it almost felt like I was watching a live-action Lets Play on YT. lol.

is this the best video game adaptation ever made? I just finished it today. They absolutely nailed the feel of the games perfectly. Its so well done, I loved every minute of it. Im literally going to watch it immediately over again.

I did some work for the studio in Brooklyn where they filmed some of the show. I got to see some of the outdoor set they made. It was pretty cool. they had closed off the area by stacking cargo containers in a spiral and about 4-5 high.
It was Filly! you can see the containers!! so cool.

game is amazing. i just unlocked impossible difficulty. I cant imagine how much crazier it is over suicide.
Suicide takes this game up 10 notches. Its so frantic and crazy to play, it almost feels like a different game at this level. -

Interesting. I was considering hopping in but this little bit of news just convinced me not to. Fuck that.
they will be back. and the bugs are way more fun to fight. and there is plenty to do for the $40 price of the game.

The latest patch def increase the difficulty. At least for those missions where you just have to kill X amount of enemies. I dropped into a mission and was instantly killed by being so overwhelmed I thought maybe I was I on hard. I backed out and nope..it was medium.

I love the haptic feedback in the PS5 controller. In fact, Ive always felt the xbox controller was far superior to the PS controller every gen except this one...and its because of the haptics.
they just add a unique layer to the gameplay. Spiderman and Hogwarts come to mind where they really shined.

It doesn't take long to uninstall one, and reinstall the other. I may move back to the Nvidia App now that I am done Robocop.
was Robocop any good?
I have fond memories of hitting Time Out in the mall and playing the Arcade Robocop back in the day. Ill always remember the first time fighting Ed-209.

It was giving me crashes in Robocop, so I reinstalled GeForce Experience.
Bummer. I will wait until the full release then. Im still ironing out the kinks of this system and I dont want to throw a wrench into it.

ok, bc I cant control myself, I ordered the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro x headphones last night and they arrived today. Holy mother of God....what a difference. Ive tried so far in BF2042 and Helldivers 2 and Im hearing new sounds that I havent heard before. I can place footsteps in the exact direction they are coming from now so far off it feels like Im cheating. I just went 34/8 in a BF2042 match of Redacted and I swear its bc I could hear so much more than before. The HD558s were damn good, but this is another level.

I got them at Walmart OneOdio Wired Over-Ear Headphones with Mic | Noise Cancelling Earcups & Studio DJ Headphones with Dual Ports for Computer-Black. I use the mic in the DualSense controller but I almost never use it anyway.
nice. I have a bunch of hearing loss from 4 punctured eardrums and 30+ years of metal shows. I was never able to plug headphones into a controller and be able to hear them well.
the Amp made a huge difference. where I had my HD558s on max volume when plugged into the line out on the mobo, now im maybe at 50-60% and thats with low gain.

what are you guys running for audio?
I picked up a Monolith Liquid Spark Amp (was on sale for $32!) and paired it with a SMSL SU-1 DAC. The whole setup was just over $100 bux and sounds 10000 times better than any gAmING headset. They are powering my very old Senheisser HD558s (modded to 559s). For mic I have an OG modmic but I hate the clutter with their very non-flexible cord. I was thinking of going with a desktop mic like the Audio-Technica ATR2100x.
Im also leaning towards new cans. I hear the Beyerdynamic DT 900 pro X are aboslutely amazing for gaming. Might give them a try.

definitely could use more variety in enemy types, so that is much welcomed.

Would you guys suggest a cooling pad for the laptop because this one does get warm. I currently have one of these that I put it on ATM.
if you can swing the extra cost, grab this one. I tried a few and this was the only one that made a difference on my Alienware M15 R7
