Yeah, I know not everyone can use Apple. I even listed another method and didn't contradict the other suggestions ITT. Apple Pay on Newegg is just the best imo. The reasons I'd limit myself to just Newegg if I had to do it again are because 1) Apple Pay takes literally less than 2 seconds. 2) every other alternative requires you to go through a very long checkout process and most of them (e.g. all of the manufacturer websites) get totally frozen with lag and crashing making the checkout process near-impossible. The only exception I know of is Amazon but then you have to deal with a lot of false positives being sold by private sellers with markup, etc. 3) It's easier and much less stressful to just set up Newegg mobile and check it every hour and when large drops are scheduled imo.

I didn't interpret him as talking about an alt. If people dislike Facebook, wouldn't the account they make be their only account? -

Sidequest is likely to be subsumed by Oculus imo. -

I think it's very likely that almost all of my valuable data will be stolen and distributed within the next 10 years, so I'll jump at chances to actually benefit from it to some degree. However, I can respect people just refusing to give Facebook money. -
Download the Newegg app (assuming you have an iphone or ios device) and set up your apple pay so the defaults are all correct. Then just search for 3080 and refresh that screen at various points throughout the day (but mostly on the hour every hour). It will sort in-stock items toward the top. Once you see an item, tap it, then immediately tap apple pay (you don't have to add to cart) then immediately press your sleep button twice to confirm. This is the best trick I've seen so far. Most people get hung up in the checkout process because it's so long but Apple pay lets you cheat.

Yeah, lol. My situation is similar. I built a new pc like almost a year ago in preparation for what I thought would be a much earlier release of the 30 series cards. I put my 1080 in it as a placeholder because I didn't want to buy a 20 series card so close to the 30. So, really, this is like me finally getting to play the PC I bought and built months ago.

I'm using the instock bot plus a couple others and I've been notified immediately and started trying to get several cards now but the cards are always either sold out immediately or the site freezes up nonstop until they're all sold out. I haven't seen a lot of legit cards go up on Amazon. The extension pings you when it sees a card or do you just have it set to refresh and watch yourself?
