  1. I got my booster shot just about an hour ago, and I've already noticed a difference in my cell phone reception. My 5G signal has gone from 1/2 to 3/4!
  2. Our 100% mandate goes into effect tomorrow. No more testing out for non-vaccinated people. There is still a religious and medical exemption process, but AFAIK they aren't being granted often at all.
  3. Dumb dumb dumb The federal government has more than enough money to buy these kits outright. Fine, still distribute them through CVS, Walgreens, etc., just make it free at the point of purchase. Don't get insurance involved. When I was scheduling my booster the other day, I found it exceptionally stupid that I had to fill in my insurance information. It makes the entire process less efficient, and on a wholistic level, more expensive, even if I pay nothing out of pocket.
  4. When my wife and daughter contracted COVID in June, we didn't try to isolate them from myself. We still slept in the same bed and stayed in close contact the entire time. I never ended up getting infected from them, but then again I also got the 5G shots back in March, so that probably helped out tremendously.
  5. If the court does strike down Roe v Wade, that would surely galvanize Democratic voters in 2022, and possibly cause many single issue voters on the GOP side to stay home (hurr durr we won the abortion fight!), making it more likely for the Democrats to keep control of Congress.
  6. Nope. I'd rather not see RvW go away for logistical and moral reasons, but it was a bad decision based on faulty logic by the court 50 years ago. If women's rights are important (they are), then Congress can make a law that codifies that right
  7. If Congress was able to override SCOTUS on the issue of slavery, they surely can override SCOTUS on the issue of abortion.
  8. Yeah, but why would I decide to take the bus to work, which could be a long ordeal, an hour or more with multiple bus changes, versus just driving to work, which would take 20 minutes?
  9. I would only agree to all of this as long as those under the age of 25 are actually treated as minors when they break the law - no serious jail (juvenile detention only), along with wiping clean of their criminal record once they become an adult at 25.
  10. I signed up to get my booster on Thursday. I was actually surprised that most of the appointments near me were filled up, so I'm going to a Kroger about 5 miles from my house. Not a huge deal, but there has to be 20 locations closer than than, all of which didn't have any slots available when I wanted to do it tomorrow afternoon.
  11. Your list is true - but at the same time a bunch of people are more than willing to work at SpaceX because they believe what the company is doing is cool and cutting edge. If that means you work a lot under stressful conditions, than that's the tradeoff these employees are willing to make. Looking at Glassdoor ratings, SpaceX fares pretty well compared to some of their Aerospace counterparts, who don't work their employees as hard.
  12. Arizona students seek Kyle Rittenhouse removal from online nursing classes | Kyle Rittenhouse | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Group at Arizona State University demand teen, acquitted of murder during Kenosha protests, be banned from campus lol
  13. Q tells me that Trump will be anointed as the CEO of Twitter this week, and he will be unbanned.
  14. We have a pistol safe in my night stand next to the bed, but all of our other guns are unloaded, and (when possible) partially disassembled, sitting inside a locked gun safe. We also regularly go shooting with our daughter. If you are going to have weapons in the house, everyone should know how to use them safely. Never teaching kids gun safety if you keep guns in the house is a recipe for disaster.
  15. I got valley fever back in 2013 when we lived in Arizona. It was not fun. I though I was going to die at one point, and had symptoms of a heart attack, the flu, and I had small blisters break out all over my body.
  16. Testimony and evidence from the trial indicated that the gun was in Wisconsin the entire time at his friends house. I could potentially see a federal straw purchase charge coming against Rittenhouse, but that's about it. If convicted, that would mean up to 10 years in federal prison.
