  1. It's more than possible that some of the people who support this law because they feel that abortion is murder. I don't think it necessarily helps the pro-choice side when they scream that these law makers "only want to control a woman's body", when in many cases, that is not the reason at all.
  2. I like YouTube TV so far. You can stream tonup to 6 devices at once, and there is unlimited DVR.
  3. wut Netflix is a non-essential service. There are more subscribers (WAY MORE) today then there was 10 years ago. Put down the crack pipe buddy.
  4. https://www.statista.com/statistics/250934/quarterly-number-of-netflix-streaming-subscribers-worldwide/ World wide numbers, but you get the idea.
  5. I don't know how to take your response. Are you saying people don't subscribe to those things? Are you saying they are essentials? WTF back to you!
  6. 10 years ago, most people had a pretty basic cable package with high speed internet. Now in addition to that, people are subscribed to things like Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, Youtube Music, etc.
  7. Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that consumers are paying for non-essential services/products more so today than they were even 10 years ago.
  8. I think Comet is correct. There may be altruism behind Bezo's goals (and that's definitely true for Musk as well), but the possibility of making even more money is what is driving him.
  9. I'm sure he pays his mob connections. It's one thing to stiff some electrical contractors. It's a whole other thing to stiff an organized crime family.
  10. We just moved to the Vegas area and Cox is the local cable/internet provider. A cable/internet package was outrageous if you wanted more than 1 box and dvr capability - Like $180 a month. So we just went with a 300 MB/s internet plan for $80 a month and have youtube TV for $50 a month. Youtube TV is pretty good because you get 6 simultaneous streams with unlimited DVR. It's sports heavy, which isn't a big selling point for me, but it does have all of the channels I would normally watch. The DVR is awesome.
  11. It's because a lot of what we consider essentials are not essentials at all. It's not that hard to grasp.
  12. I mean, that was kind of the way of life prior to the end of WWII for most Americans. People who grew up during the depression in the 30s had it pretty bad.
  13. I've had a salad from Subway a few times. They are pretty trash, as their salad is just based on their sub ingredients - including the wilted lettuce.
  14. Vice President Underwood had the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms apprehend the unruly Republicans to hold a vote in that documentary House of Cards. True story.
  15. I read last night that they can direct the House Sergeant-at-Arms to arrest people who are found in contempt of Congress.
