These are the three companies competing to land humans on the moon: Next year, NASA will down select to two companies, and they will be awarded contracts to land humans in the 2024-2025 timeline. All three companies have ambitious plans, with strengths and weaknesses pointed out in several different articles. But the plan would work like this: The Human Landing System (HLS) would be launched separately (and on commercial rockets) to the moon from the actual humans. The crew would launch from the Space Shuttle derived SLS launcher aboard the Orion capsule (both NASA owned and operated) and meet up in lunar orbit with the lander. The crew would transfer to the lander, perform their mission on the lunar surface, and then return to the SLS capsule in lunar orbit. The lander would stay in lunar orbit, and the capsule would return to Earth.

Those were the rules posted upthread. Each party gets 5 justices. -

This is probably one the best things the Dems could do once they regain power. Also repeal the apportionment act. -

There are a few problems creating a law that says party X gets to appoint 5 justices, and party Y gets to appoint 5 justices: 1. It codifies those two parties into law. That would create a precedent for sure. 2. What happens if one of those parties ceases to exist? Parties have come and gone in the past - but this law would still give power to a party that is extinct or at least crippled. 3. The remaining party in power would have no urgency in rewriting the law giving the new party any power in choosing Supreme Court Justices. -

Biden likes the idea of cycling judges from the district courts to Supreme Court. This is likely doable with simple legislation, and a lot less destructive than court packing. -

If anything, Donald Trump running in 2024 would split the GOP vote (because it's unlikely he would win the nomination for the party) just like Roosevelt did in 1912 - leading to a Democratic landslide. The best bet for the GOP would be for the entire Trump family to be in prison and Trumpism dead as a movement by 2024. -

There is no law against running for President if you are in Prison. Eric Trump should take notes. -
This wouldn't be an issue in the UK!

Isn't the current welfare program set up to get you to the poverty line already?

Right. But it truly needs to be universal. No qualifiers. It doesn't matter how much money you make - you get a check.
