  1. Also, the military would know better than to take orders from a person who is no longer President. Whoever is sworn in at noon on January 20th is the President.
  2. I suppose he could stay in the White House indefinitely. But he wouldn't be President anymore. Maybe Biden could rent him out the Lincoln bedroom or something.
  3. A lot of my friends and family are Trump supporters. If Trump loses tonight, I won't gloat, or shame them for supporting Trump. I'd rather maintain good relationships than irreparably damage them.
  4. Of course he won't. Doesn't mean he won't be charged with any crimes. If he is eventually convicted, it would probably be a home arrest situation, as you realistically can't have a person who receives secret service protection for life in a prison.
  5. I absolutely believe Trump will attempt to self-pardon himself in the closing days of his presidency. Failing that, he will resign and insist that Pence pardons him. This of course doesn't solve his potential legal problems in New York State though.
  6. It's like making Labor day a federal holiday. All you did was give the mattress stores a way to squeeze in another 50% off blowout sale!. Meanwhile, a vast majority of the people who the holiday is supposed to represent are still flipping burgers or cleaning hotel rooms.
  7. Making election day a federal holiday doesn't solve the problem of getting more people to vote. But you know what would? The federal government passing a law mandating uniform, no excuse, early/mail-in voting in all 50 states.
  8. Welcome to DICKSVILLE you sluts. First in the nation voting tallies from Dixsville Notch: Trump - 0 votes Biden - 5 votes
  9. I LIKE this thread. Good job! One suggestion though: Put each of your election sections into spoilers so the page loads a bit quicker, and people who have already read your information can quickly scroll past it.
  10. This scenario is interesting, and it makes the House races critically important. Which ever party controls the most House state (not state house) delegations, would determine who the next President would be. Every state gets 1 vote in this scenario: So South Dakota's 1 vote for president is worth just as much as California's 1 vote for president.
  11. There is little reason to believe that climate change would result in billions dying from crop failure and famine - Unless you are referring to a war scenario where dwindling resources spark a regional or global nuclear exchange between nuclear nations. Large scale food production from things like algae are on the verge of being economically possible, and are already technically possible.
  12. New prediction: Texas will indeed be won by Biden. BUT a series of legal battles by Trump and the Texas GOP will result in Texas not casting ANY electoral votes on December 12th. This would reduce the number of total EVs to 500, and reduce corresponding number to win to 251. Final result: Biden 349, Trump 146, Ron Paul 3, Bernie Sanders 2. http://www.270towin.com//images/brand/270ToWinLogo-iOS.jpg 2020 Presidential Election Interactive Map WWW.270TOWIN.COM Create your own forecast for the 2020 presidential election
  13. I won't make a map because I don't think it would vary much from what others are posting. But I will predict there will be at least 5 faithless electors when the electoral college casts their votes in December.
  14. I was raised as a non-binary antifan, so English is a second language to me.
  15. What do you mean, we'll see? Upthread, you basically just cited the fact that Trump has higher minority approval now than he did when he was elected. I then cite that he has lost massive ground with seniors and women. Are you saying that isn't true?
  16. I think if minority voters were more evenly split between the parties, then your argument would make more sense. But minorities (for the most part) are heavily aligned towards the Democrats. Trump isn't really helping his reelection chances if he marginally increases his share of the minority vote, while losing massive ground with seniors and women voters.
