Ugh, today sucks. After living together since May last year, my girlfriend moved out today to start a new job. It's only a 1 year contract (9months really) so me going made no sense. The city is an accessibility hellscape plus I'd lose my Medicaid slot and here have to get on a decade long waiting list there. She's only 6 hours away but with delta, her college not requiring masks or vaccines, and her schedule, could be October or December until I see her again. -

Disability community only got half what we wanted: $400B for Medicaid home care but no SSI Restoration Act which would update the asset limit set in the 70s. -

Ugh, stop calling it Eldercare. It's funding to eliminate Medicaid HCBS waiting lists which have 800,000+ people on them, mostly people with disabilities. This is actually possible with the Medicaid HCBS component since States would have to accept. The ACA had an HCBS component which only 7 states accepted. -
Most of my disabled friends report it's about 50-50 when they fly.

Disability community, screwed again. -
$56k? That's it? Biogen getting soft. Having gone down the road of rare disease medication twice, the FDA is only the first stop for commercial approval, next is insurance and I'd be surprised if they don't lock this behind a ton of quantitative requirements to show individual improvement or get cut off.
