Television Best streaming service.
SaysWho? replied to CastletonSnob's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I did enjoy the variety in 2011/2012, though I also think the smaller nature of the board makes it enjoyable to speak since I don't feel as if I'm stepping on egg shells. Reset has a huge userbase, but many times I just don't say anything on the off-topic board. And even on the gaming side, you have a lot of people suspicious of your motives for seemingly innocuous things. -
“a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.” A lot of what you stated is just stuff you don’t agree with or categorizing things in ways I don’t agree with. Fascism is the Heritage Foundation’s proposal to centralize power in the executive branch if a Republican wins this year.

I intend to see it through to the end. I’ve spent more time here than IGN, which is crazy. -
If the U.S. devolves into fascism or a second attempt is successful, yes, it'll be remembered. If we nip this shit now, it'll be an embarrassing moment in our history but one that didn't define us. We get to write this chapter.

Interstellar/Dunkirk/Tenet are overdue for me to watch. We've had plenty of opportunities but we haven't been in "the mood" when we've sat down. Eventually, I'm sure! Side note, if they ever make "supporting actor" awards for people who were in the movie for a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit of time instead of people who are in the movie almost as long as the protagonist, that award goes to Gary Oldman who had a memorable as fuck 3 minutes in this 3-hour epic.

General Gaming ~*D1P's Games of 2023*~
SaysWho? replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
I guess this will about wrap it up for 2023. Finished Valhalla, which was really flippin' good, especially for free DLC, and although it was already on the list, we beat the final level of SMB Wonder. And lo and behold, there were a bunch of secret levels that popped up with question marks. I really thought we hit them all, but I was wrong! Man, this year was franchise central for me. It's like besides Resident Evil, Zelda, Mario and God of War, once I played one game of a franchise, I played the rest. 2023 Games Starcraft (using SCII Mass Recall campaign) Starcraft: Brood War (using SCII Mass Recall campaign) Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (arcade version from Cowabunga Collection) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (arcade version from Cowabunga Collection. Tried the NES version but the pacing is worse due to extended levels) Resident Evil 4 Remake Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Sonic Origins Plus) Sonic CD (Sonic Origins Plus) Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sonic Origins Plus) Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles (Sonic Origins Plus) Sonic Mania The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time Ratchet & Clank Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando Marvel's Spider-Man South Park: The Stick of Truth South Park: The Fractured But Whole Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Starcraft 1 (just a fun game to keep coming back to and playing Use Map Settings maps) God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla Super Mario Bros. I don't know if it's still the case, but there was a time when well-meaning liberals could be fooled by this. I thought this for a while in the 2000s. It was actually Iron-and-Wine @ByWatterson, the first time I met him when he was still a Republican, who educated me on that. Something like "That's actually revisionist history," and he talked about the wants by southern states for the federal government to intervene in cases where northern states would grant freedom to slaves who fled, and then he listed off all these things southern states didn't complain about that came from the federal government. I feel like many on the left and center have wisened up to it, which might be just because I did, but the number of confederate statues that have come down and the more direct attacks on the myth of states rights have felt much louder over the past decade.

The Weird Rise of the ‘Post-Left’
SaysWho? replied to Signifyin(g)Monkey's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
You know you have the power to do that, brah. Before the boards pre-2018 were wiped, we had some folks on d1p say the same thing after gay marriage was legalized, saying things along the lines of, 'This should make them happy, but they'll probably find something else to complain about," as if gay marriage was the only discrimination they faced. -
Right now, there are many negotiations taking place to make sure the federal money is spent smartly. New Hampshire just got some good news: BAE Systems' New Hampshire computer chip plant the first to get funding from CHIPS law WWW.CNBC.COM The Biden administration said Monday it would provide $35 million to BAE Systems to increase production at a New Hampshire factory making computer chips. New York planning for semiconductor boom: New York Plans to Invest $1 Billion to Expand Chip Research - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM The move is aimed at drawing $9 billion in corporate investment, as New York jockeys to host a new national semiconductor technology center.

Have there been HD versions made of the IGN emoticons? Those remain my favorite.

Television South Park (Not Suitable For Children) special
SaysWho? replied to Spork3245's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Finally watched this and Panderverse and highly enjoyed both! Panderverse was weird as hell, but that's what I liked about it. I actually preferred this one a little more, especially Randy and Sharon's story. -

I don't even know what Prime is. I thought you meant Amazon and Amazon Prime and figured it's something they've done before to music. -
Microsoft I thought Sunset Overdrive was mid AF.

Did they have a way prior? Because I don’t recall MS rushing to make a sequel. -

I can’t remember Spider-Man falling and dying in any of the media I watched. Spidey 2 has an option to raise or lower the assist to make it harder/easier to swing, as well as an option to take damage when falling from a high altitude.
