State of the Union - March 7th 9pm EST

Especially when it's just the term "illegal" (e.g. I saw an illegal on the street) and not referencing groups as a whole (e.g. Illegal immigrants are largely reported in the state of...). Same thing how people use "a Jew" vs. "Jewish person/people." If it's the former, it's an immediately red flag that the person has racist beliefs. -

If the US passed a law saying that all immigration was legal...the exact same people would be mad at all the newly-legal immigration, just as they are with the illegal immigration. It's not about the legality, it's about the brown people. -
I know that Villeneuve doesn't believe in director's cuts, and I do understand since at this point he has almost full creative control of his films (and should forever). However, while I understand not releasing DCs of Part 1 and Part 2...I do think it would be very cool to release a DC of them combined, especially including some stuff we know was cut. If you no longer have to worry about pacing in the traditional sense, adding another 10-20 minutes wouldn't be a huge deal for a 5.5-hour movie.

He has a surface-level understanding of politics and tends to be swayed by the last argument he hears. Thinking any any point that Trump was a great President is a sign of intellectual and moral rot. I'm not going to lay off that point if I see it. -

A lot of people got rich under Bush II, Reagan, etc. A lot of people got rich under Stalin and Hitler. Getting rich thanks to the evil actions of others doesn't justify that evil. -

If your opinion is that a man responsible for the deaths of thousands/hundreds of thousands in a pandemic (and countless other problems) is "one of the best" US Presidents, then yes, you can be attacked for it. If you don't want an opinion criticized, then don't share it. Being mad that someone is attacking an opinion is the definition of being a snowflake. -

I enjoy how you believe you understand politics and are moderate or something, yet are clearly actually brainwashed by the right-wing sphere and your family. -
This follows Macron saying that deployment of French forces to Ukraine is possible if Russia achieves a breakthrough and approaches western Ukraine. I don't actually believe France would do anything, it's possible Poland would act unilaterally outside NATO in very specific circumstances. Either way, it can't be coincidence that multiple leaders are on record in the past week saying that western forces on the ground in Ukraine is possible depending on what Russia does. But what is the goal of these statements? Do deter Russia?
