I was obviously joking, but being rich (in terms of lifestyle) has almost nothing to do with balance sheets. Someone like Baron Trump has objectively grown up as rich, even if his family's net worth is massively in the red and entirely fraudulent. If I took out a $100k loan and lived it up lavishly for a month in some rich place, I could legitimately say I was living a wealthy lifestyle even if I was obviously about to be bankrupt.
