  1. Yep. I said this in bomb thread, but the casualness of Trump, Republicans, and conservative media to use bombastic adjectives and verbs has absolutely contributed to the current political climate.
  2. I hate to bring this back to Trump, the Republican Party, and conservative media, but alas here I go. One of my biggest issues is how casually they all use bombastic adjectives and verbs. The list of examples is massive, but I'll focus just on the recent "caravan." I regularly hear things like "invade" "defend" "break-in."
  3. It's weird, because growing up, my parents were what I would call (at least in the Pacific Northwest) evangelical Christians. Pat Robertson, Focus on the Family, single issue Republicans. I was only 12 when Clinton was impeached, but I remember overhearing conversations about morality, and when voting for Republicans, my dad would always say "if he is pro-life and a good Christian man, I trust him on other issues I may not agree with." It's insane how Trump has completely seized the Republican Party in just 3 years. He's literally infected the minds of the people I know.
  4. I also watch 15-20 minutes of Hannity, Tucker, and Ingraham a night. It's complicated, and I constantly ask myself if I'm just adding fuel to their ratings and clicks. But the genesis is as follows: my parents are yuge Trump supporters. Red meat, Fox News, "the base" Trump supporters, as are my mother and father-in-law. I wish we could have high level policy discussions, but it just doesn't happen. My hope (hope) is (was) that by consuming a bit of the media they consume, I'll be better able to understand their positions, and also be able to weed out which opinions are actually theirs, and which are repeated. There's also the fact I'm a contrarian by nature, so watching and reading Fox News gets me aroused in a way I just cannot explain.
  5. I'm ashamed to admit I browse the comments on Fox News Facebook page, regularly. This was the overwhelming consensus throughout multiple story posts today.
  6. This, although I'll probably purchase an Xbox or PS at some point in my future, and will get it then.
  7. I'm not sure what the R6 community is like here, but I typically play 4-5 nights a week. The event theme is cool, and if you play you're likely to get 3 packs, or 3/21 cosmetic items available. After that the packs can only be purchased with real money, and to buy the remaining 18 packs is roughly $50.
  8. I played Trine and Trine 2. Absolutely loved it. I didn't even know there was Trine 3, but it doesn't sound worth checking out?
  9. Trying to blow yourself up to trigger the conservatives. Did I do that right?
  10. "Hey Jim you seemed to punch him pretty hard I think he might be dead?" "Oh no that's exactly what I didn't want to happen. What should we do?" "Put on his clothes and walk around in public?" "Brilliant."
