On one hand, I don't like getting spoiled, on the other hand, I often end up having a better time knowing how it's all going to end.

DD1's great. I just think the ending(s) is shit. Due to DD2's world being a parallel world, it is very possible DD2 could have the same kind of shitty ending(s). It won't stop me from getting the game, but I would like to know if I should go in expecting to be disappointed. The ending is the last thing you experience so it sucks when it is bad, but it's less bad when you know ahead of time.

Yeah, I hated the ending of the first game. Even if I had a device that could run this adequately, I'd still be waiting for ending spoilers for DD2.
