I watched the Joseph Anderson critique of DD1 and it's pretty spot on for the current game. After hours of killing mostly small monsters, I realize I just need to focus on quests. It's not that I haven't killed the big boys. It's just that I have killed so little when all I want to fight are big monsters.

One way is to talk to NPCs. Often they will lead you along your quest. Or even better, hire a pawn with quest knowledge. That is a major reason why these quests seem to give no direction. There are pawns to guide you. Or just google. I'm a big google gamer.

It's nuts how much Thief fits the first few story missions. It feels canon. And I'm pretty sure my character has ended up looking exactly how he did in the first game. As in, at one point my Strider gear in DD1 looked exactly like this:

I wish I could command pawns to do actions. Like actually command them. Cuz fuck, I'd be using springboard all the time. It's so frustrating for there to be a high spot that I can't get to, but I could when combined with springboard and concussive leap.

I wonder if the pawn has max level gear somehow.
