  1. Same version here. Actually didn't even realize this game had autosaves. That sucks. I wonder why you're getting hit with so many bugs. It's been pretty clear sailing for me, even when jumping back and forth between my PC and laptop using cloud saves.
  2. What platform? I read there were a bunch of bugs on the Switch port, but I haven't read too deeply into it. I haven't encountered any bugs on the PC side of things. I'm 20 hours in juggling between two save slots. I'm enjoying my time with the game so far. I did find a sort of bug in the game if anyone was interested in exploiting it. The first time you get a chance to visit Bounty Hill, the left-most soldier blocking the path to protect you from extra strong monsters is doing a poor job of it. If you run around him, you'll trigger some fights with monsters far above your expected current level. Three fights there gave me enough XP to bring the whole party up 15 levels.

  4. There was however, very much a time when it didn't make sense to be a PC-only gamer. We absolutely went through years of "PC gaming is dead or dying". Many of the best games were console exclusives and the major games on PC were the typical PC gaming stalwarts like strategy games, sims, and RPGs. If you wanted to experience the full breadth the medium has to offer you needed a PC and a console. Now-a-days, I would argue that distinction no longer exists. So, yes, if those games weren't coming to PC, PC gaming would be a lesser experience and console gaming would be a better value. I mean, the value of the Nintendo Switch lies entirely in the console's exclusives. I'm not saying consoles don't have good games available for them. I just paid full, fat price for the previously console exclusive Horizon Forbidden West and enjoyed the hell out of my time with it. I'm just saying, my son wanted deeper gaming experiences than his tablet could afford him, so I spent $600 on a PC and he has access to nearly everything not Nintendo for less than what I'd be paying for his console games with infinite backward compatibility. A couple of gaming generations ago, I would have bought him a PS3.
  5. I think the question is if this is the weakest CONSOLE generation. Aside from all the Nintendo games, most of the rest of those games are all on PC. I don't think anyone is judging the quality of games as being poor, more the quality of being a console-exclusive gamer. For me, the PS3/X360 is the last generation that really made me want a not-Nintendo console. I didn't really miss consoles during the PS4/XB1 generation and I miss non-Nintendo console gaming even less during this PS5/XSX gen. Hell, I don't even really care for Nintendo console gaming were it not for the ridiculous strength of Nintendo's own games. Price is really the only reason to buy a Sony or Microsoft console these days and that's becoming less true every day.

  7. Finally starting Eiyuden Chronicles. Backed it on Kickstarter for the Switch, but I'm opting to play on PC via Game Pass. This game seriously feels like an old PS1 game with only a few QoL tweaks. I'm really enjoying my time. It really does feel like a new Suikoden and that's all I wanted.

Pulse power into the magnet in one direction to flip the hook into place. Pulse power into the magnet in other direction to retract it.

  13. What a legend. Nope, he's not unexpectedly good with spicy food; just REALLY committed to the bit.
  14. After the first mainline story, I actually started the other ones to get those tools and then went back to complete the main quests. This was mostly because I know my memory is terrible and there's no way I was going to remember to come back when I had the appropriate equipment. Glad I'm not the only one that pretty much skipped food and valor. I played on normal difficulty, but it's probably more important at higher difficulties. I think I ate all of one meal and activated valor the one time the tutorial asks you to.
