So do I because I know full well how emotion and ego factor in this industry on BOTH sides. However, the points he outlines in this interview point to some not so innocent fuckery going on particularly with how they handled his option. Him saying that them using the option as a way to cover their asses tracks for me the way he spells it out. They're weak denials don't bode so well either and knowing anecdotally and personally some of the shit that has been said by higher ups behind closed doors, I don't doubt for one second that the conversation he had with the showrunner took place. Not for one second.

Holy shit it's even worse than I thought... A woke white dude who thinks he "understands the culture" because he grew up listening to a LOT of hip hop and had a black friend or two. Now I know what Jones meant when he was referencing this guys' "Black friends". It's unfair to judge a book by it's cover but damn... You can totally tell this dude grew up in the late 80's early 90's bumping hip hop in his suburban neighborhood driving his parents fucking crazy.

Plot twist...he's 68 years old somehow which means he couldn't have adopted this ridiculous Spike Lee parody of an image until well into his 40's realistically. That's fucking amazing. Imagine how confused everyone must've been.
