You hit back, he walks backwards slowly, there's a quick-turn button, no strafing. They're the same tank controls as previous games with an over-the-shoulder view and taken out of its previous fixed camera environment, making it much less cumbersome because you're never walking against the camera angle. Obviously there's the aiming system added on top but the character movement was still tank style. They're definitely not the same controls as older RE games. It just feels different because of the camera and aiming system. If you have the game laying around, pop it in later and just move Leon around and compare it to REmake 1 for example. There's other shit on top like being able to hop over obstacles and the aiming system, obviously, but I've always thought the character movement in itself is Classic RE tank. nublood
God of War. I never really cared for any of the games before the latest one. I know they have a massive following and were always critically acclaimed. But for whatever reason, I just couldn't get into them.....until now. God of War on the PS4 is quite possibly my game of this generation. I am totally on board with where this series is headed. I'm at the very end of it and I refuse to finish it because I don't want it to end. Soooooo good.

I'll pop back in in a week or so. Fantastic game and while I was a fan of GoW 1 and 2, this is the best one in my opinion.
crispy4000
I’m weird with Final Fantasy. I’ve only beaten 3-7, and 13. 13 was a bit offputting in its linearity and self indulgence, but the combat system and it was a fun spectacle. For someone who always heard it was bad, I had low expectations and came away pleasantly surprised. There’s other RPGs that we’re much better that gen, like Radiant Historia and Xenoblade. But I’m curious to try out 9, 10 and 12 sometime to see what the fuss was about.
Mithan
Bloodborne changed my perception that the souls series was a crock of shit.
