Commissar SFLUFAN
Let's see from which research institute this study originated, shall we? Quote IBS was founded in 2011 by the government of the Republic of Korea with the sole purpose of driving forward the development of basic science in South Korea. Aaaand we're done here! b_m_b_m_b_m
IBS is also an unfortunate acronym to be used with any nutritional science
mclumber1
Even just slightly raising your heartrate/metabolism can be really good for your health. I've become pretty religious about walking at least 10k steps a day, and it's helped me lose a bit of weight, and I also just feel generally better. This morning I went on an hour long walk. My Fitbit says I burned 400 calories with an average heart rate of 93 BPM. With my average resting heart rate of around 60, I only had to increase my heart rate by 50% to expend that additional energy in an hour. I'm not saying that this research from South Korea will have the same impact as actual physical activity, but if it can actually increase your metabolism and heart rate by even a small amount over a long period of time, it might help out a lot of people who suffer from weight-adjacent diseases and conditions.
