Ghost_MH
Real question here. Is this being changed to a movie because the story is better suited for a movie or did they realize the story from the comics is going give you something with a lot of CG and a lot of explosions, and Disney figured the numbers might work out better with a theatrical release? Keyser_Soze
A timely name drop from the other thread by me to make this happen.

My thought upon seeing this was whether it's an issue with someone's availability. Even with these 6-ish episodes at 30-ish minutes an episode seasons, a movie takes overall less overall time on set for the actors than a show, right? Especially condensable for a movie for just shooting things out of order to let your lead join late or leave early.

I think it's both of these things for sure, and realizing Cheadle is a reliable, bankable star if you surround him with additional big names. I'm a huge Cheadle fan, so I may be biased. It's time for War Machine to be a main character though, for real.
Guest
I don’t think Feige cares for the series format as much as the feature format.
