Movies George Miller is a psychopath: Three Thousand Years of Longing

I just got out of screening of this flick here at Cineshow. First, an audience largely made up of people in their 60s from states like Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana…NOT the demo 😂

 

This film is as much an experience as it is a piece of narrative fiction. It plays around with your feelings and your expectations. It never quite gives you what you want from it, which once you see it…is very on brand for the concept.

 

I have no idea how people are going to react to this, but I look forward to talking about it once some others actually have.

I've been super amped for this one. The divisive reviews from critics out of festivals this past year has made me more intrigued, not less. Also, more djinn representation is great - been loving that term come up a lot more lately in narrative fiction.

Yeah if it's George Miller doing something divisive and super weird I absolutely want to go see what the deal is

I'm VERY much interested in seeing this film just for the sheer spectacle of it!
