Gov. John Carney announced on Tuesday that he will veto a bill that would legalize the possession of 1 ounce or less of marijuana, now leading to a historic showdown between the governor and the General Assembly.

The legislation will be returned to the General Assembly, where it would need to receive a three-fifths vote in each chamber to override the veto. The initial vote surpassed that benchmark, and had some bipartisan support.

It is incredibly rare for the Delaware General Assembly to override a governor's veto. The last successful override was in 1977, according to state historians.

I thought Hunter is a cokehead doe.

Sad/funny story but within the first 2 weeks of getting my pot shop job. I had a lady come in asking for whatever was the strongest stuff we had, or if we could recommend something to help get her boyfriend off cocaine.

I hope they successfully override his veto
