Trump says longstanding legal practice of flipping 'almost ought to be illegal'

Quote

"It's called flipping and it almost ought to be illegal," Trump said in the interview, adding he's witnessed similar scenarios over his decades in public life. "I know all about flipping, 30, 40 years I have been watching flippers. Everything is wonderful and then they get 10 years in jail and they flip on whoever the next highest one is or as high as you can go."

Why has someone who isn't a criminal seen so much flipping?

While, like in most things, Trump is a more extreme example to be fair the GOP as a party has long been ones to talk real tough about criminal justice only to find compassion and moderation real fucking quick when they're the ones implicated in a crime.

"Can you believe they treat people like this?!"

*Spent the last 20 years demagoging that we don't treat prisoners badly enough*
