Why make this guy the hero? Unless of course there is a twist in the movie that reveals he isn't, which of course I think is likely. There's clearly a secret regarding the little girl given what one of those guys says, but it's still odd to have the kidnapping, turkey baster rapist, murderer be the protagonist for the sequel. You put a child in danger and you are naturally going to root for whoever is trying to save her. I said at least for part of it because there is always a potential for some crazy twist at the end that reveals some evil motive behind his actions.
