  1. pepsi all day. coke is garbage. makes my teeth feel like they are covered in syrup. dodge over chevy or ford. nothing beats a cummins. Bud Light bc fuck you, thats why however - I love xbox and ps5 equally for different reasons. im fortunate to be able to have both.
  2. 2.5hrs in on PS5 and I havent noticed any issues. Seems to run just fine and the haptics on the controller are awesome. its a beautiful game. that first “level” was so dense and around every corner was a sight to just stop and appreciate. that said….the game is pretty OK. So far more of the same. If you liked the first one, youll like this one too.
  3. Sekiro. just downed the Corrupted Monk. Gotta big ass Ape to kill next.
  4. was there any word if this game works with your save from the 1st one? I played the first on xbox but want to play this one on ps5 for the haptic feedback in the controller.
  5. I just finally got him!! jesus christ I was shaking like a leaf. once you figure out lighting reversal in the 3rd phase it isnt terrible bc it does massive posture damage to him. and you have to play that phase with more room unlike first 2 where you need to keep the pressure on. if you create room, he does the lunge which is easy to mikiri or he jumps and does lightning. once I got the timing I cleaned up on him.
  6. I cant beat Genichiro ive done about 10-15 attempts. I can breeze through the first deathblow phase, but for some reason, the 2nd deathblow phase is kicking my ass. I cant read what periless attack he is going to do. it seems he stops doing the thrust, which is easy to mikiri. he seems to start doing a grab, kick or sweep. and i cant counter them. and once I step back to heal, I seem to never recover. i will say I was trying to save my rez for the lightning phase, but I think if I rez during the 2nd deathblow save, I would get it back. so I have to try again. whats funny is on like my 2-3 attempt I got to the lightning phase and had him down like 3/4. then he OHK me with that huge lightning aoe attack. I thought for sure I just needed another try or two to get him and i was never able to get back to that phase again.
  7. for those of you that had a hard time with Melania, were you using the mimic tear? I got her on my 2nd try and took almost no damage. I wouldve gotten her first try, but I wasn’t ready after the cut scene. I had my mimic tear at +10. and I feel like maybe I cheated myself out of a proper challenge. The bosses that game me a hard time were Placidusax, Maliketh and Elden Beast.
  8. I have completely fallen off with gaming and I entirely place the blame on Elden Ring. Not because I hated it…because I absolutely loved it and there really is nothing else like it out there (with the exception of BOTW, sorta). its so bad that I really haven’t enjoyed anything Ive played since…Horizon FW, God of War 2, Hogwarts….Ive played all of them and then fall off between 10-20hrs. They just dont scratch the itch that I have for something like Elden Ring. So I decided to give another souls a go, even though Ive tried just about all of them for a few hours and quit in frustration. So I decided, maybe stupidly…to give Sekiro another chance…and so far Im loving it. Ive beaten the first boss (dude on the horse), Lady Butterfly, The Bull and a bunch of mini bosses. Currently in the temple area, just beat the armored dude on the bridge. Also beat the guy just before Genichiro. Trying to level up once more before I fight Genichiro (tried him once and got him halfway down on his 2nd phase). What I dont like is that there really isnt builds or interesting loot to find. What I love is the level design and exploration. The whole game feels like a legacy dungeon in Elden Ring. What I also love is how liberal they are with shrines. What turned me off to other souls games is the relentless backtracking from the start of the level every time you die. completely turned me off. This game places shrines pretty frequently or there are very obvious shortcuts to get to where you want. I can deal with the difficulty so long as I dont have to replay an entire level just to get back to the same spot. However, with all that…I fully expect to hit a wall in this game and give up. But for now, it’s scratching the ER itch.
  9. I figured it out. I purchased something to do with mandrakes from the magic neep. not dogweed and desthcap. I got it now. and I also got the last field page I needed bc I hadnt even been there before
  10. i tried loading and reloding. speaking to Prof Garlick. I tried the potting plant in the herbology class. no dice. its glitched and I cant get wingardium leviosa. unless I find one out in the wild i guess. or maybe I need to advance the main story more?
  11. it says any size pot in the description, but I went and bought medium and large potting station and im getting the same thing
  12. any idea why I cant grow mandrake in the room of requirement? I have a small potting table and bought the seed, but its greyed out. where it normally gives you the stats for growth time, mine just has a red exclamation and says “purchased from dogweed and deathcap
  13. there are a few RPGs that do this. Diablo does. they call it transmogrification (transmog)…but its not as simple as HL and it totally should be…in every game.
  14. when all you wanna do is play Hogwarts Legacy and your 11 and 13yr olds want to watch the super bowl on the good tv.
  15. whats the deal with quiddich? they made it blatantly clear its not in the game. in assuming DLC down the road?
  16. Im about 5hrs in. Its such a charming game. It looks amazing, tons of loot and exploration. Hogswart is absolutely massive. The music, esp when you clear a field page is awesome. Im definitely hooked. my only gripe…they give you so much to do right off the bat, its hard to stay focused on the main quest. and im really not wandering off. im just using revelio and uncovering field pages as I move through hogwarts and hogmeade . it gives you tons of xp. I think maybe ive done 3 small sidequests. The main quest mission is level 3 and Im already level 14. lol.
  17. on a side note but speaking of blatant antisemitism… The game Outriders had a NPC named Atta Goldstein. Her journal entry specifically says shes jewish. Shes the only NPC in the entire game where their religion is even mentioned in their journal entries. no big deal right? well her sidequest revolves around her tricking these two refugee lovers into thinking shes helping them. she actually winds up robbing them blind and turns them over to the boss who is a tyrant slaver. the lovers wind up escaping and go in to hiding. The sidequest starts when you meet Atta and she tells you she was the one robbed by these lovers of her jewelry and asks you to get them back for her. When you finally find the lovers, it turns out the trinkets are all they have left after Atta destroyed their lives and took all their belongings. So Atta tries to use you, the player, to take the last mementos of these people and kill them in the process to cover it up. its the most insidious sidequest in the entire game and blatantly antisemitic…and it went completely unnoticed by the gaming media as far as I know. edit: heres the end mission dialogue:
  18. im LTTP and only up to the Dwarven realm. been so damn preoccupied with life that I havent had time to really sit down and put in a good solid session. I also had a media blackout on this game and basically going in blind…. so far my two takeaways: 1.) So far its fun. Feels like more of the same, which isnt a bad thing and pretty on par for all GoW games. Really enjoyed the 3hrs or so Ive played. 2.) why are Thor and Odin and couple of 1950 NYC mobsters?? I was half expecting Thor to fly away in a Cadillac pulled by Mjolnir.
  19. wasnt Trump supposed to make a big announcement today?
