  1. I was never a huge COD fan, but MW2019 had an amazing campagin and the MP has gotten better and better. Its an overall great game that has me looking forward to the next one.
  2. Not playing too much these days, but I finished TLOU2 and started Ghost of Tsushima. Hour or two in and its really great so far. I just hope it doesnt get dull.
  3. I played on moderate. So i guess thats normal. I also played on normal on the fist one and remember that ammo was scarce and you really had to analyze your options before proceeding. This one, I would lob a brick, wait for a few to go to it, lob a mollie (or whatever). Then just clean up the rest.
  4. @BloodyHell now i know why you didn’t respond. I actually played straight through from that part to the end, nonstop. A marathon session, at least for me. I had about 28.5hrs on the game clock. What an exhausting game. It gave me anxiety from start to finish. I felt there were a few sections that got a little long in the tooth , but it was really an amazing game. my only complaint i have is that stealth in this one felt neither required, rewarding or effective. Anytime I tried, i got spotted. It just felt like it took too long. Most times, you easily recouped all your ammo from the enemies you killed anyway. and if you did even a little exploration, you would easily find max ammo. the story was phenomenal. In the end,
  5. @SaysWho? nailed it. But it’s tough for me to recommend playing the other ones first. the PS4 GoW is my favorite PS exclusive game then gen. It’s also one of the only games I 100% bc when it was over I just didn’t want to stop playing. That’s not really like me. When a game is done I move on to the next one immediately and rarely ever look back. My biggest disappointment is that they never release DLC as the game seemingly hints at areas left to be explored that you never get to. I say dive into this game ASAP.
  6. I turned 18 in sept of 96. Final Fantasy 7 released January of 97. that game is still one of my GOATs.
  7. Watch the IGN review video. He states 40-50hr campaign. I’m assuming that includes doing a bunch of side missions. Perhaps it’s shorter if you beeline the story.
  8. I’ve got it pre-loaded but I’m not going to start until I finish TLOU2, which I’m about 2/3rd I think. The game looks beautiful and it’s great seeing it get decent reviews. My only concern is that a 40-50hr game grounded in reality (no supernatural aspect) might get tiresome after a while. Hopefully the unique combat and progression keep it fresh. Hearing that it can be a chorefest has me concerned.
  9. the AI in this one is leaps and bounds better than the first. Ellie was awful in the first game. it was so bad it often broke the immersion. That was my main reason I didn’t place the first one on such a high pedestal as everyone else. I’d rather not have a companions than for them to not be recognized by the enemy at all. the one is much better. There was a part right in beginning day 1 when you are trying to get into a building and the infected are all in the courtyard. You can sneak through the tallgrass then hop up on scaffolding. I wound up sneaking through lightning fast, leaving Dina behind. She kept trying to do her best to avoid them. They caught on to her once and she bolt and dropped to the grass to lose them. I then lobbed a brick and it gave her enough time to sneak past. It was really well done and I was amazed how well the ai was.
  10. Took a break from video games and have been spending lots of time outside. finally jumped back in today. I finished day 3 and now i see where the game is going. This definitely makes the game more interesting.
  11. Same for me. This game gives me massive anxiety. On one hand, I can’t stop thinking about playing and on the other hand I’m reluctant to fire up bc of the feelings it invokes in me.
  12. This so far is my only gripe with the game. The story has a sense of urgency and here I am exploring every nook and cranny In the opposite direction. The first game and its lack of open exploration had a better pace to the story. I’m finding the pacing to be slow bc my OCD wont allow me to not check every house and building. In RPGs we kind of accept this silliness but in a heavily story-driven game - it doesn’t work as well. I think I’d rather have more linearity to help the pacing along.
  13. I’m about 10hrs in. Just got to day 2. I took a peak at a walkthrough just to see what chapter I’m actually on and how many and holy shit this is still like the beginning of the game. are all the chapters this long? so far I’m enjoying the hell of out it. Although it doesn’t feel like a drastic change from the 1st one. The biggest change for me is how hard stealth seems to be. I always wind up altering someone/thing and just go guns blazing after that. It’s a bit different from the first one where I played mostly stealth. However, given the context of the plot it kinda makes sense to go in guns blazing. I feel like ND even set the game Up like that bc I’m never short on supplies.
  14. Welcome to D1P. Lots of good people and conversion to be had here...so stay a while! with that, i couldn’t disagree more with the FF7R comparison. With how linear that game is, I expected the same level of polish as TLOU or Uncharted and it just does not have it. I’m at chapter 12 and do not have the desire to continue. Eventually I suppose I will, just to complete it...but it’s one of the biggest disappointments this gen for me.
