I'm glad you liked it! My goal with that level, and with all my levels going forward, is challenging but fair and consistent. I try to design courses that feel like you could actually see them being in a Nintendo game, if Mario had a "NG+" mode. No jank, no weird kaizo tricks. I don't care about my clear rate or maker points. My goal is fun for the player. I tried that a few times but couldn't seem to manage to stay in the air long enough to let the fire stop. I'll give it another shot tonight.

Looks like Talsorian is using Day 1 of GenCon as the launch day for it! I'll check it out for sure.

It's that time again! Time to make that trip to FABULOUS Indianapolis, IN for the best 4 days in gaming! In just 2 weeks GenCon enters it's 52nd year and I'll be making my long annual drive out to America's heartland for an extra long weekend of M:tG, D&D, play-testing unreleased games, drinking, and discovering new games while draining my savings in the vendor hall! Who's in?! Who's going, what are your plans, what do you want to see? Entering any tournaments? Finally going to experience True Dungeon? If you aren't going, what are you hoping to see come out of the show? Is there anything specific you want to get a look at (I'll try to find it and get some pics and info for ya).

Nevermind. Found a good deal on a laptop more powerful than she actually needs on NewEgg. So change my answer to nothing. -

They do have way too many locations. I have no less than five Gamestops withing 15 min of each each other and I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two. -

Probably getting The Woman a replacement for her old ass laptop. -
Got home from work yesterday to find a surprise package waiting for me on the porch. Turned out to be an early birthday gift from my mom. :P I've played this once and have been wanting my own copy for a long time! Going to have some people over and crack this open this weekend. It's a terrific strategy tile-laying game where the players are all competing builders trying their best to build a castle that meets the King's current, very fickle, aesthetic requirements. Good strategy but also light enough to work as a crossover game for people just dipping their foot into hobby tabletop gaming. Can't wait.

Nothing super challenging. This is me just having fun. Koopa Platforming Fun (QWK-3SL-1PF): This was my first level. Pretty basic and simple. This was just me screwing around and learning how the editor works. Superballin' (86B-9P6-7GF): I've learned the editor so this is where it's time to start getting creative. I'd love your feedback.

Yeah, troll levels can be fun if they're well designed and clever, but too many people just either throw craploads of off-screen unavoidable crap at you, put hidden.kaizo blocks everywhere, or make the level unnecessarily long and tedious (not adding challenge; merely boring us into submission). Don't be That Guy.
