I'll admit, what pisses me off the most about this tweet is not necessarily Giuliani's idiotic comments. That's par for the course.
It's the fact that it has a Play button on it but it isn't a goddamn video!

Geesh, that poor guy. Give your girlfriend of two years a gift, and accidentally kill her.

Controlling all three branches yet still making threats to shut down the government to get what you want...

It's not a spoiler if it's contained in a trailer or press release.
Huh? Some people intentionally avoid trailers and press releases specifically for this reason.

Great idea for a thread!
@mach250 For whatever reason the image you posted isn't embedding in the page properly, or at least not for me.I'm just a beginner, so I just have a Nikon D90 and the kit lens, plus a 50 mm and a 70-300 mm lens (the cheaper one, not the $500+ one), but I enjoy tooling around a bit with photography and Photoshop. I'll post a picture or two later once I've found a couple good examples.

"Center for Performing Arts"
From Wikipedia:
Quote
Performing arts are a form of art in which artists use their voices, bodies or inanimate objects to convey artistic expression. It is different from visual arts, which is when artists use paint, canvas or various materials to create physical or static art objects. Performing arts include a range of disciplines which are performed in front of a live audience.
Theatre, music, dance and object manipulation, and other kinds of performances are present in all human cultures.
So again, it only covers theater, not exactly movies, books, comics, etc.
Just busting your balls, basically.

So Underground Railroad has been finished and a very worthwhile. It's made me want to learn more about the reality of the railroad (less about the treatment of slaves in the South during the era). I've decided on reading the Silmarillion (not just for the Nokra upvote) and so far, after the introduction, if this is the tone of the remainder, it's both very interesting and a bit of a battle. I've also got a book called Total Rugby which is seen (at least in the modern era) as the definitive coaching guide, something more helpful as I'll be completing a youth coaching qualification this Autumn.
Then I think I'll read something a bit more straightforward.
You know me.

A Futile and Stupid Gesture - 7/10
I didn't know much about the two guys who started National Lampoon, so this was all new to me. Good stuff. It was a pretty funny movie that has a surprising amount of heart.

No amount of education and no amount of social services will fix a society that was fundamentally broken from its very inception.
The very concept of America IS based on ignorance and fear - those are the foundational bedrock upon which practically the entire society and its institutions are built.
Do I need to read the book you recommended to know what you mean by this?

"It's the girlfriend of a guy I've known for 30 years," he said. "She seemed nice enough."Doesn't seem like there's all that much to see here. The implication of his statement (which of course could be deliberately formulated as to deceptively give this impression) seems to me to be that they haven't had much or any interaction since. Unless it comes out that they were plotting America's downfall in front of 300 guests , I'm not sure what this should mean other than that they became acquainted. If it comes out that they've had a lot of contact since, that's something. But I'm not sure what to make of this by itself.

Is that Rivers Cuomo attempting to drum?
Yes indeed.

I couldn't figure out where this might fit except for possibly here. Randy Rainbow is rather hit and miss, IMO, but I saw this earlier today and got a good laugh out of it.

Years and years ago it seems that Malwarebytes was the anti-spyware/malware software to use, but I haven't been keeping up with the trends for a long time.
Is it still trustworthy? Are the premium services worth it?

How is this country this fucking broken? What the fuck is wrong with this place!?
Everyday day brings another piece of insanity. We're governed by absolute morons put in power by absolute morons.
Like we said in the other thread a while ago, it seems like it's education and social services that are sorely lacking. We are fundamentally a nation of idiots.
Edit - Probably "a nation of idiots" is a gross oversimplification, but there is certainly a large undercurrent of ignorance and fear in the US. Also, it reminds me of something I heard a long time ago... I can't remember the exact quote, but it was something like: "Almost anyone who would be willing to run for office is probably not the kind of person you want to be giving power to."

I watched Fucking Berlin on Netflix. It tells the story of a 20 year old student who moves to Berlin to study at the university and ends up making one bad decision after the other, becoming a prostitute, cheating on her boyfriend, dropping the university, etc. and then getting upset about it when it all inevitably blows up in her face.
I rate it meh/10 . The acting is OK and the main actress is very cute IMO, but those are about the only points of redemption I could find here.

I know that @Remarkableriots posted this in his SDCC thread but it didn't seem to be getting much attention there.
I think this looks great. As someone also commented on reddit, I like a lot that it's serialized, i.e. telling a single story that carries over between episodes, ala Bojack Horseman, one of my favorite recent shows. Considering how much I loved Futurama and that I'm really getting a Fantasy Futurama vibe from this, I can't wait!
Also, gotta love the song in the background.
