Im sorry for your lose😢I’ve too have had a rough past 6-7 years from losing my Dad to cancer, Aunt to Covid and my Dog Buddy last week. I don’t think there is a proper way to grieve and everyone just does what they have too. I know talking with others will help, but I’ve still had moments this past week thinking of Buddy and losing it in my yard hugging Fozzie Bear and apologizing. I feel bad that we took away his friend and really saddens me seeing him alone looking into nothing/sad looking face. This over a dog and I was even worse with my dad. I’ll still get emotional moments seeing certain things while driving and it just triggers a memory out nowhere. Stay strong and you know everyone is here for you, if you need us.

I made the mistake to read the comments on the Foxnews boards after this press conference. Fuck are people scary on that board, and you get some rational people and the far right nut jobs start posting. One of the managers of a store I use to service has an uncle that owns a restaurant in the French market there. The entire place is clear glass with outdoor seating/music as well. We actually ate there before I knew and tried the fried gator, but comes off a little rubbery. Just take the trollies service down from Canal St. and enjoy the ride. Make sure you hit a CVS and buy yourself a metro day pass for easy travel (for I think it was $4.50 back then) Trollies will take you everywhere down there, and that ride pass came in real handy for us.

I was in the French Quarter for a week about 10 years ago. We were just a street off Bourbon and Canal. Their is/was a small hole in the wall of Dr. Seuss material that was real cool to see in that area. I went with my sister so we did the Casino and Ripley’s Aquarium at the bottom there of Canal. We also did the steamboat I believe called The Nanchaz(sp) down in the French Market area. Plus we did a gator boat tour which was like 30 minutes away from the downtown core. Plus you gotta walk in one of the many cemeteries down there. Fuck though does it get hot and sticky down there, so walk with a drink in hand. I think we were 130f in humidity everyday down there, except the day we left. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a legit Beignet when you’re down there too. That shit is delicious
